How to Get There
The layout of a small village is lovely ( and make sure you look in the church)The breakfast service was a role model for any hotel of how to do it, the food itself, proper made to order coffee and the attitude of the breakfast waitress.
The efforts made by the receptionist to provide a room with a bath went beyond the call of duty. All the staff were heplful.
The restaurant was good - though not cheap and portion sizes are not huge. One small reservation - Having eaten from the main menu on the first evening, we went back to the restaurant on the second evening for pizza - something a bit plainer and more economical. Although it was really quiet -almost empty - we were only served by the staff apparently doing us a favour and pizza was not on offer. No complaints for the helpful staff though. I guess booking in advance is essential - even when it's quiet.
The spa was lovely, but felt a bit pricey. Having to wear costumes in Jakuzzi and sauna is not especially nice compared to spas at home in Netherlands.
Overall a very enjoyable and lovely place to stay.
Where to begin! I had the pleasure of celebrating my wedding at the Tenuta and boy, to this day our guests are STILL raving on about it! the place is magical, everything can be found on the one site! Accommodation, Church, Spa, Pool & a deliciously amazing restaurant. The Tenuta well and truly delivered. The amazing scenery and greenery has made for some amazing photos which i absolutely adore. This is definitely a place that you will want to visit.
Enough great things can not be said about the whole experience of staying there. From Staff, to rooms, to food, wine, to location... Everything was 5 star! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to go to this part of Italy. This was my first time travelling to Italy and my stay there cemented the fact I need to get back to this place at my first opportunity!
