Nature meets nurture on Malaysia’s west coast at Tanjung Rhu Resort. Situated at the northernmost tip of Langkawi, this eco-resort is a celebration of all things Malaysian – turquoise waters lap sandy shores, while paddy fields and tropical jungle provide the backdrop.
With an itinerary as soothing as it is sensitive to its surroundings, you’ll find a purifying and revitalizing spa menu derived and influenced by the Malay Archipelago, an array of non-motorised watersports and simple nature trails to help you navigate the rainforest and mangroves.
Back to the five-star resort’s parquet floors and nurture wins out with Andaman Sea views from the swimming pools, suites draped in Thai silk, a two-tiered reading deck and an elegant restaurant bringing fusion cuisine to the table. It’s easy to see why it’s picked up a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award.
How to Get There
If you are looking for a private beach with some great facilities and friendly staff, Tanjung Rhu is the perfect pick.
We stayed for 3 nights and it was the perfect spot to relax. They have 2 pools, one for families and one for adults only and we couldnt be happier with the setup. We spend the days reading a book by the pool and strolling around the beach and walked up to the small island just in front of the resort during low tide.
The breakfast has a lot of options and both restaurants have great food and are affordable.
We had a truly amazing time and we hope to be back next year.
We stayed at Tanjung Rhu Resort for three nights, and we couldn't be happier. This resort is the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the world. They have two big swimming-pools and one mesmerising private beach. The food was delicious both at the Sands Restaurant and Chef's Table, and breakfast was fantastic with an incredible variety of options available (western & Asian food). I sincerely loved the little garden /oasis right in the middle of the resort. Whenever is low tide you can walk from the beach to the island, and it's fantastic to see all the underwater animals of the area. Staff is very friendly, and I look forward to coming back to this slice of paradise.
The hotel is located at the beautiful Tanjung Rhu Beach, so it has amazing views. Rooms are big and comfortable. Staff is friendly, but a bit 'slow' sometimes. But the entire hotel and the rooms could really use some renovations. The entire right side of the hotel is closed of for renovations or maybe destruction...
