Overview

A stylish, sunny stay in peaceful Mallorca, with breakfast, dinner and a lovely sea-view apartment

The Lowdown

Fancy getting to know the real Mallorca? Jet off for a very swanky stay in a recently (and immaculately) renovated aparthotel in the peaceful little harbour town of Porto Cristo. A serene and sedate spot in the sun, Porto Cristo is close buddies with some of the island’s best beaches and the breathtakingly beautiful Drach Caves.
In your chic and spotless apartment, you’ll enjoy a sea view, a sizeable swimming pool and an impressive restaurant with terrace views of the boats bobbing gently on the harbour’s clear blue waters. Should you fancy exploring more of the island, you’ll find Palma just a 40-minute drive away.

Amazing

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, everything about it was just class. The receptionist Toni made us feel very welcome and was genuinely interested in us and our holiday. The hotel smelled lush ( something we later found out was a comment the frequent were told )! As for the room the size of the apartment and the facilities they provided were not what we expected. They really went above and beyond and also made sure even the little details were taken care of. As for the cleanliness of the room, all we can say is that it was the cleanest room we have stayed in anywhere. Even down to cleaning the balcony rail every day! We really can’t rate this hotel highly enough! And throw in amazing views of the harbour ( we could see Rafa Nadals yacht from our balcony ), and you have an amazing apartment that you actually feel happy to come back to after a day of lazing in the sun and eating!
We definitely will be returning to this hotel soon to enjoy the comfort and the wonderful smell !

A piece of heaven

Have just returned from a week at this hotel and although I don't normally do reviews I feel I need to let people know what a truly amazing experience this was for myself and my daughter. The whole stay from start to finish was wonderful. We had a room which was bright, spotlessly clean, loads of room and views to die for (marina view). The staff from reception to domestics were friendly and helpful and and always made time for you. We were bed and breakfast and found breakfast adequate. The pool setting also has a view of the harbour but can occasionally get noise from the boatyard next door which is to be expected. The Caves of Drach are just up some steps from the hotel and well worth a visit. To sum up, we went on this holiday as a joint 60th and 30th birthday celebration and it was one we'll never forget.
My only suggestion would be to have full length mirrors in the apartments as we struggled with a small one in the bathroom and this seemed to be an issue with a lot of people we spoke to.

Generally very good- clean, good staff, OK food.

When we read reveiws and arrived at the hotel, we were told that the food was really bad here, but apaprt from being a bit on the soggy side and not hot ebeough (how many buffets have you seen with a microwave to warm your food?!), it was actually OK- not great, but OK.
The room was clean, airy and very large for a couple, with a lovely baclony overlooking the harbour (make certain you DON'T get a room at the back- the road there is very busy!) and the staff are great.
The pool is not heated, so not usuable out of season, but the beach is not a long walk away.
If you don't eat in the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants in town, just across the road, ranging from cheap eats to more upmarket faire.
All in all, it is recommended, especilally if you can get a good deal.
All in all

Amazing hotel in Porto Cristo

Just back from a fantastic week staying at the Porto Drach Aparthotel in Porto Cristo. There were 2 couples in our group and we had a fantastic 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment no 407 overlooking the harbour. What a view we had waking up to the harbour every morning. Tables chairs and sunloungers were on each balcony so if you didn't fancy going down the pool you could relax at yiur apartment. The pool area was lovely kept very clean and tidy with plenty of beds. You could get pool towels at reception. We were booked B&B and the breakfast were really good plenty of choices. The girls in the breakfast room were really friendly and even got my husband some bananas and honey for his toast when he asked as a special request. Apartment was spotless and we got fresh towels and rooms made up everyday when asked. The 3 guys on reception were the best I've dealt with in a hotel. Nothing was too much bother always greeted with a good morning and good night. They were Matt Tony and Pasqual. I lost a hat and they turned the place over looking for it😁 We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but tried the wine bar attached called Soma again excellent staff and service. If you are thinking of visiting Porto Cristo don't look anywhere else but Porto Drach Aparthotel and ask for an apartment overlooking the harbour. You won't be disappointed
