How to Get There
My mother and I stayed at the PuroHotel in December and it was one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the room itself was very clean. Although we were in Palma during the off-season, there were still plenty of restaurants open nearby and loads of things to do in the hotel itself. Also the breakfast was fantastic! Would highly recommend!
The hotel is centrally located, clean, with good staff service, and a free breakfast with good variety.
But the room itself had a number of issues. My biggest problem was with the shower. The tub was huge, and it had one of those rainfall shower things, which sounds great. But the shower head is located over a slope in the back of the tub and there’s no bath mat or anti-slip treads in the tub. I slipped and fell down (hard) once and almost twice more over the course of two days. The friend I was traveling with had the same problem, although she was luckier than me and managed not to fall down. The bathroom doors are more decorative than functional. They’re sliding doors that don’t actually close (let alone lock) and offer no sound prevention at all. The room did not come with a luggage rack, so both of our bags were on the floor. Our windows were over the street and there was noisy partying Saturday night until 5am despite it being the off season — the party was a block away, but the windows were very un-soundproof.
In 2016 we were already in the puro and satisfied at that time. on New Year's Eve we booked the Puro Juniosuite Joy and for our parents the suite Oasis. Unfortunately, my parents got a junior suite and we had a room flow.
On request at the front desk we were told for 1 hour that we would have the right room. As evidenced on the puro website the rooms as other category are indicated I called with Expedia (over this we had booked) Expedia opposite the hotel confirmed that we got the wrong room, the hotel is fully booked. On renewed demand at the front desk again the statement we had the correct room category.
The manager wanted to contact us the next day, which has not happened so far. the room is shabby, dirty, mold in the bathroom. cable glued with tape makeshift. A huge disappointment and absolutely unprofessional service.
We were downgraded to 2 categories - my parents 1 category.
a corresponding refund was also not accepted. never again!!
We visited Purohotel in July on a mini-moon. We had researched a lot of hotels and this looked like a great choice and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is really central and located in the beautiful old town of Palma.
The hotel itself is lovely. The decor is white, simple, clean lines and a focus on comfort and relaxation. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that whilst the rooms are big ours did not have any outside space and the addition of a couple of chairs would improve them as they are spacious,
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and made our stay a joy.
The breakfast is great with good choices.
We also used the Purobeach club which was fantatstic if you are looking to lie by a pool.
Great cozy boutique hotel in central Palma with walking distance to everything. We loved our stay here even though we have a 1 year old son and the hotel isn’t ideal for kids but it has a great vibe and atmosphere. Very calm which is perfect. Highly recommended!
