Hotel Rural Monnaber Nou and Spa is a restored 18th-century manor house in a top-notch setting amid 556 acres of tree-covered countryside. This glorious location is at the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, the picturesque range that forms the northern backbone of the Spanish island of Mallorca.
Assuring to-die-for views of the lush rural surroundings, each of the 25 spacious and elegant guest rooms offers all the trimmings and trappings you’d expect from a four-star retreat. There’s classic Mallorcan décor, supremely comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms with bathtubs, bathrobes and toiletries.
Elsewhere, you’ll find two pools, two tennis courts and a dizzying array of outdoor activities, such as biking, trekking and horse-riding. There’s also a superb signature restaurant serving high-end Mallorcan and Mediterranean cuisine, a well-stocked wine cellar for global and regional labels, and a next-level spa and gym to ensure you stay looking and feeling fabulous.
How to Get There
We have been visiting Monnaber Nou for nearly twenty years, first with our kids, then together with other families. The kids have grown up now, and we thought for our 25th wedding anniversary we would take a trip down memory lane and return to one of our favourite places.
The hotel is set in a stunning location, is quiet, peaceful and utterly lovely. The pool is perfect for families, with various pools of different depths which make it safe for toddlers, as well as a “big pool” to swim off the fabulous food! The rooms are very comfortable, and furnished well.
Whilst located “away from it all” It’s also well located in a central location to explore Mallorca, with Palma 30 mins in one direction, and Pollenca and the beaches to the north around 20 mins by car. You will need to hire a car to get around.
Food is traditional Mallorcan and of excellent quality. Breakfasts spectacular.
During our visit, the staff went the extra mile to make our trip down memory lane very special. Thanks!!, We now own a house in Pollenca, but we will be back! We love it here.

This isolated, rural hotel is a beautiful place. It seems to be a haven for cyclists and certainly provides a restorative ambiance. Our room was very spacious and had a beautiful view. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak and I wish the jacuzzi and outdoor pools could have been warmer. Breakfast was excellent but they could use a second coffee machine.
Our only option was to dine at their restaurant because we didn’t have a car, and were too tired to take bikes into town. We would have appreciated a less expensive dinner option. But if you are into a luxury experience, this is the place.
This hotel is out in the countryside and has been restored to a graceful elegance. The rooms and common areas are large and comfortable, the restaurant is beautiful and well appointed. There is a fabulous pool, and the place is surrounded by farmland and various critters (some of whom like to chirp and squawk during the night, which adds to the charm).
had 7 nights here in corner suite. Room and facilities very good, wonderful view down main drive. very well maintained and in keeping with old building yet clean and well maintained. Lots of peaceful walks around estate through olive groves and woodland. Staff very helpful but unobtrusive. Food exceptional. Outside pool very clean but bit cool when we went. Needed a car, but nice walk to Rampant along track, map from reception. Nearest supermarket near La Pobla. Near to lots places to visit but good to have peaceful base to relax in.
We stayed at Monnaber Nou for ten days of cycling camp and walking. It's a wonderful restored farm manor set among olive groves near quaint villages. The staff was wonderful - from the front desk multitaskers to the waiters we saw every morning at breakfast. It's a perfect escape in a beautiful part of the world.
