How to Get There
Monnaber offers a tranquil and beautiful place to relax with decent service, lovely food and a nice atmosphere. You need a car to get anywhere but overall it is a great place to base yourself for a while. The service is good.
Lovely hotel in rural part of Majorca. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel has a family feel and there were many families with young children.
The food was fantastic and we ate in the main restaurant for a few evenings. The quality of the meals were good.
I would definitely recommend hiring a car as you can go around the island easily and visit other places such as Inca, Alcudia, Palma and Bunyola.
There are some beautiful routes to walk on the grounds and you can see the many animals on the land as well. You can also hire a bike for a reasonable price which is also an alternative if you want to see the local area.
My only complaint was my room had a small window so had to use room light on some occasions during the day. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained. I
Huge estate growing produce and raising livestock for use by the hotel. Great location, beautiful setting with lush mountains as a back drop. Wonderful pool area with bar and food managed by Luca who makes the most delicious mint lemonade (not on the drinks menu so you will have to ask him to make one for you and you’ll also be hooked).
All the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Stayed for four nights with a friend. Beautiful place with so much potential. Luca by the pool was without doubt the star of the entire place. He couldn’t do enough for us and always with a smile. We were given a room above the pool which was tiny and had a double as opposed to two as requested (travelling with a friend).
On our first night we headed to their more relaxed BBQ restaurant where one poor waiter was trying to serve everyone. After a 50 minute wait for a drink we were presented with the most appalling crucified lamb which was solid - there was no edible meat on it. The ‘Chorizo’ was a walls sausage as far as we could tell but apparently it was a different type of chorizo so maybe that’s our ignorance?!
The main restaurant we didn’t end up trying as it had no atmosphere and was too formal.
Our greatest complaint would be the manor and rudeness of ‘the owner’ (I’m not convinced he was) either way he needed some lessons on how you treat guests and staff. On one morning we went to reception to ask for towels (you’re meant to keep the same pool towel throughout your stay) and watched him screaming at one of the cleaners who was sobbing in front of him. He was extremely rude to us when we complained about our meal begrudgingly taking the food element off the bill.
All in all a crying shame as the place is beautiful and could be an absolute find.
We stayed at Monnaber Nou for 10 days with our 3 year old daughter. Our room was located at the farmhouse which is a few hundred metres from the main hotel building.
This was our third visit to the hotel and have loved it every time. It is very peaceful, relaxing and was great for our daughter with the pool. The BBQ at the farmhouse is great.
It is essential you have a car to be able to visit the local towns (Pollença, Alcudia, etc. They are about 20 minute drives)
Would strongly recommend this hotel and will be going back again in the future.
