How to Get There
Staff was quite pleasant and efficient. But more thought needed to be applied in the re-design. Example - when at restaurant, it is quite a hike to the restroom - none nearby - have to go out door, down hall, turn right, down another hall, up a few stairs, again up a few stairs, then get there. Room would have been closer. Another example - at entrance, must go up a few stairs, thus bellmen cannot wheel luggage cart to car, but must carry bags up the stairs)- a planned ramp would make more sense. Room adequate, no elite lounge. Stay was just ok
The service here was terrific - very kind and helpful front desk and in the restaurants. The hotel itself however needs updating. The lobby and restaurants are ok but the rooms are dated and worn. Beds were comfortable. This is a decent location too - not near the water (its a good 20 minute walk to Old Port) but in the Arts district. If Marriott would update the rooms I think it'd make a big difference. Also they need to give some attention to the hallway and stairwells that connect the hotel to the parking garage - its musty, dimly lit and smells - not a great experience walking from the garage to the hotel
It’s a good hotel. Would stay again.
Very comfortable beds. Front desk staff was excellent and attentive.
They have an EXCELLENT restaurant with a happy hour with great $3 tapas and drinks
Was there for a conference and the food was definitely very good, as well
My only issue, unfortunately, was housekeeping. First day, several things were forgotten; emptying the trash, refilling decaf, no washcloths or bath mat, dirty glasses not changed out.
The next day, no cups for coffee, no stirrers. Not major issues overall, but still an annoyance that should not happen
Rooms are decent, but halls are scuffed up pretty badly
I’d still stay again though.
