How to Get There
I have never been a fan of the idea of staying at a B & B but our stay at the Old Saco Inn has made me a fan of THIS B & B forever!! The innkeepers, Bruce & Jon, are two of the most wonderful people you could ever have the good fortune to meet. They are friendly and accommodating. Regular good folks! We arrived as strangers and left as friends.
The Old Saco Inn is a beautiful inn set on 65 beautiful acres. My husband was thrilled to be able to go fishing anytime of the day or evening. The complimentary full breakfasts were generous in portions and delicious!
We will always stay at the Old Saco Inn whenever we are in the Fryeburg/Bridgton Maine area. We recommend the Old Saco Inn 100%!
Beautiful relaxing vacation destination. Beautiful Inn, awesome hosts and most importantly great breakfast and dinner selections. The foliage was quite awesome at this time of year. I was told that it was even better a couple of weeks prior to my stay. Good luck with the beautiful barn venues. Great place! Thanks guys!
John and Bruce, the proprietors, make you feel like part of the family from the moment you check in. They are extremely accommodating. The Inn is situated several miles from Fryeburg and if you did not see the sign on the main road you would not know it was there. However, the locals are well aware of the food that is served in their restaurant and pub. They serve what we would consider gourmet dinners in addition to a made to order breakfast.
They have a total of nine rooms available in the main inn and the Carriage house all furnished with furniture that you would expect in a county inn. Our room on the first floor of the main inn was easily accessible to parking right outside our room in addition to a hallway that connected to the rest of the inn.
We stumbled on this place while looking on the internet and we were lucky to pick up the last room for the three nights we spent there. Not sure we will ever be back to this area again but we can make others aware that this would be a great place to stay.
By the way,the scallops were so good!
