The True Diamond Experience

The best hotel I have ever been. Best crew & superb management. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Ms. Natalie Timaan & Divina (Events Manager) are very commendable and professional. I will surely recommend this place to all my friends & colleagues.

A very pleasant surprise at Manila Bay!

I stayed at the Diamond Hotel for 3 nights while on a business trip to Manila in November. The hotel was booked by my hosts, so I didn't have a choice. I rarely stay at business hotels that are not part of chains, so I wasn't sure of what to expect. However, the Diamond Hotel was a very pleasant surprise!

The location is great if you want to be based at Manila Bay, it's about halfway down Roxas Boulevard. Both Intramuros and Mall of Asia are between 7-10 minutes away, and the airport is only 25-30 minutes (depending on the traffic). Makati, however, will take around 45 minutes.

The property is fairly old, but very well maintained. Check in was efficient, and all the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. My booking was for a deluxe room, which is large and well maintained. The only downside is that the room has limited overhead lighting, you need to have all the lamps on at night. Also, there are no plug points near the bed (to charge a phone etc.), the nearest accessible point is at the minibar. The bedside table does have a built-in AM/FM radio, though - very '70s chic, but impractical! The bathroom is similarly retro (lots of marble and granite), but spacious and clean with a bathtub and shower. The toiletries are unbranded, but of good quality.

While breakfast was included in the room, I didn't make it due to early meetings. However, I did eat at Corniche one night, and the a la carte menu was limited and of passable quality. As with most Manila hotels, the buffet seemed to be the popular option, which might explain the limited a la carte menu. I did not get a chance to try the Japanese restaurant or bar.

All in all, a very pleasant surprise, and I will definitely consider Diamond Hotel for my next stay if I am at Manila Bay.

Great place for stay-cation. Good location, near malls and interesting spots in Manila. Parking is very limited though. But they have valet parking.

We stayed their during the International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. The staff are very helpful and polite.
