How to Get There
Drove two hours from NY to check this place out. Check in was easy, the two girls helping us were very pleasant. They are probably the only people in that hotel who were pleasant. Everyone else was very snotty and almost seemed like they didn't even want to be bothered. We had an incident were my husband had an expired ID (2 days expired) and had his interim paper license and they refused to let him in the casino. The supervisor that we spoke with was so obnoxious. He shouldn't even be a supervisor with the way that he was speaking to us. We also noticed that they weren't IDing everyone, but stopped us. The rooms were okay, nothing special. Our room's AC was making a noise all night long. The bathroom had stains in the walls. Will probably never go back!
OK - people working there were very nice. Valets and front desk, great. We had a room on the 4th floor. They only have two elevators (seems odd for the hotel size) and they are slow. The rooms are not particularly roomy and are showing a lot of wear. Carpet in our room was "Baggy" - not tightly installed. Bathroom just plain not really clean. Bed and bedding fine. We were not there to gamble and avoided the casino area where people are allowed to smoke. The air in the hotel was dead - stale dead air that after two nights left us feeling allergic. We know what our business hosts paid for our room - which was outrageously overpriced for what it is. And I agree with another recent review - the automatic motion detector light (and loud fan) in the bathroom absolutely guaranteed that I was fully awakened when my husband got up in the night to use the bathroom. Bad design. Walls were paper thin- could hear the next room talking in normal voices.
So -it it were a $200 or less a night room - OK. But over $400 for a Saturday night? WHY? It was nothing special whatsoever.
I had the worst night sleep because of the stupid motion sensor in the bathroom! The light kept coming on randomly throughout the night. Because they decided to do a stupid frosted glass door it’s not like you can do a simple fix like closing the bathroom door to allow you to sleep through the night. Awful design + flawed technology = no sleep and grumpy guest! Not good!! I’ll never stay there again, what did I just pay for a room for? I probably would’ve been more comfortable sleeping in my car!
