We stayed here a couple days during our stay for the weekend before Our Lady of Guadalupe day. The hotel is "very" convenient to everything. (The town was very, very busy and active) It's just a very short walk to the Santa Preista Chruch/Square where all the activities are during the evenings. We don't speak much Spanish at all, but we had no problem checking in and getting a comfortable room. The rooms are spacious and private. They did supply us with some shampoo/conditioner and lotion. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. It was easy check-in and check-out. It could get a little noisy at night so be prepared for a little high noise level (traffic, horns, bangs from maybe delivery trucks). The beds were soft and comfortable as were the pillows. There were stairs to get to our room. There's also a restaurant on the bottom floor that has free wi-fi. Our phones worked in our rooms but we have unlimited data and just used that. Our room had a "big" closet which also had an ironing board in it. I don't remember seeing a blow dryer in the room so you might want to ask to see if they'll supply one when you check in. I'd definitely stay here again because you just can't beat the location or the price. You can walk to so many things!

We would stay here again.

This hotel is extremely convenient to the main square, is fairly quiet at night, has great water pressure, hot water, and comfortable beds. Next door has great coffee for in the morning also. The front desk and all staff are friendly and helpful, and check in and check out were easy and painless. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Extremely noisy + parking is a nightmare

I spent one night with my parents in this hotel.
+: extremely well located, very nice premises, large rooms with a lot of charme. We took 2 separate rooms but we could have easily fit in one.
amazing view from the terrace
-: probably 60+db of noise from houses/restaurants around, with no noise insulation, until 4am (was a Saturday night but still...)
parking was a nightmare: I had called the night before (late, OK, but they are supposed to have 24h reception) and on the same day at 10 am but no one picked up to explain me where to park. The hotel itself doesn't have a parking lot but they have a partnership. After driving through most of Taxco's city center (which is an experience!), I finally arrived at the hotel where they told me to go through a street which happened to be blocked. I had to spend 45mn plus driving in this crowded city center. When I explained that to the receptionist, and that no one had picked up my calls, she said that they had a policy not to pick up the phone after 10 pm (why!?!!) and that the phone was working perfectly (meaning I was probably too stupid to correctly perform a phone call). She never offered any apologies and I had to ask her for someone to come and help me with the luggage.
- have to wait with the shower running at least 5mn to get hot water
- the safe present in each room is too small to fit a computer. I had brought my professional laptop but couldn't keep it safe...
- wifi doesn't work well

There are better alternatives in Taxco, slightly further from the center and with possibly less cachet, but way more convenient.

Traveling with 2 teenagers we occupied a very generous room for 4 people. Clean and fresh, great location. Wonderful colonial architecture with roof top to view the town and surrounds. In house dining was good standard and the little bar next door did great margaritas.

Beautiful rustic hotel with authentic feel and great restaurant attached
