Wonderfully Disappointing

The hotel is under construction. The beautiful bar is not really there. The gorgeous pool, which is the reason I booked this hotel, has been closed for 3 years according to staff. The staff reports it is closed because the pool is not up to ADA standards. I was upgraded to a totally cool room, without a phone. This became a problem when I had heat exhaustion on Saturday.

I hope they get the pool situation figured out soon, when the bar id finished it should be beautiful.

Really disappointing

I don’t often write reviews. I am supremely low maintenance so I don’t get bothered by the little things. In my opinion this hotel has no business being open during their renovation. This is not a small renovation either. Construction noises resulted in us having to use a personal room I instead of meeting space we paid for. Non stop drilling And hammering. in addition, p the smells are awful. My room smells like cigarette smoke and ,t friend room smells like sewer gas. The rooms are well decorated and staff are nice and apologetic but this is terrible.

Quick stay in beautiful room

I have stayed here before ... but I don’t remember the room being so pretty! This room had a chaise lounge, appealing color scheme and an amazing view of downtown. The bathroom was very spacious and clean and included a full length mirror. The staff was professional, too. They did say it may take a while to get the car from valet so my husband called in plenty of time. Having the mall downstairs was a bonus since we had an errand to run. We walked to dinner near the quarter which was nice.

The only weird part: the elevators are confusing. I assume it’s to prevent mall shoppers from accessing guest rooms but the signage could be improved.
