Noisy All Night Long
TravelYesPlease69

We were very excited to try this boutique hotel for a special birthday celebration with friends. We booked one of the nicer rooms with an outdoor patio in the back - off the room. What we didn't know is that you could not sit out on the patio as it was right next to the building air conditioner unit - which was loud beyond imagination, making conversations impossible.
Further - of the 4 nights we stayed, there were massive, loud parties in the bar that was attached to the hotel which went on in to the am hours. The noise and thumping music from the bar made sleeping impossible. Upon letting the hotel know how unhappy we were -- and...that they should let their guests know that this is the "vibe" and it will be loud in your room, we would have opted to stay elsewhere.
I asked for some form of credit to be applied to our room as it was less than a stellar experience and was told that we should have asked while we were there (which we did) and they never responded to us - and we were told that a manager would be reaching out (did not happen).
If you go - make sure you know what is going on in the hotel and make sure that you are made aware of any parties happening in the hotel.

Decent hotel and unique decor
Ottaniketj

I loved the minimalist loft style décor of the room. The bathroom was luxurious with the amazing sculpture of a bathtub. I would recommend them to epoxy the concrete floors because concrete is porous and as a result any stains and spills from previous guests seep through and are very visible. During our stay, the toilet overflowed due to a pre-existing blockage and the dirty water filled the bathroom, and spilled into the room and the outside into the hallway carpet. Apparently a previous guest had stuffed something down. It was addressed immediately by the staff, but because of it, the housekeeping for the day was missed. The plumbing overall was quite iffy, with the shower starting on it's own a few times. On one weeknight, there were noisy guests in the room below that were shooting a music video on their patio. I complained to the front desk, and it was addressed immediately. If they paid more attention to detail, like fixing plumbing, bathroom accessories properly, this could easily be a 5 star level hotel. The staff is very efficient too. The location is great in quiet CBD, and a 5 minute walk to the French Quarter. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Hidden Gem

The only negative I can think of in this little boutique hotel is that it is truly 'hidden'. There is no sign on the building, or even a placard in the window, and after getting charged to circle the block twice by an inept cab driver, I finally had to place a call to the front desk. Once I actually made it inside, though, everything was great. Staff was helpful, and the room was huge (Patio Room). Great location with several fantastic restaurants nearby, and you can easily hop on the streetcar to get to other areas of interest. Would definitely stay here again.
