Comfortable stay in an awesome city
Reviewed 1 week ago

I chose this hotel while visiting for a conference and I really enjoyed my stay at Le Meridien. I was able to navigate the downtown area with ease due to the proximity of the hotel to some of the nicest places I've seen in NOLA. I was always met with courtesy by the members of the front desk staff. I was placed on the floor I requested and found the room adequate for my needs. I would have liked to know first that the room selected was wheelchair accessible. But since there was no guest who needed the space at the time, I decided to stay in that same room.

I felt safe and comfortable and I really appreciated the bag/luggage storage service that I used before and after check-in. In my opinion, it was one of the most important services the hotel offered.

The rooms stand to have more storage options. I found myself keeping my clothing in my suitcase, which is something I don't normally do. I only realized later during my stay, that I could have asked for additional storage, but I was already used to my system. The bed was comfy and the cleaning staff did a good job every day.

The decor of the hotel was very nice. Caught a possible of nice shots for IG. The hotel is located across from Harrah's casino and the area felt safe when walking late at night. When I come back to visit, I would definitely consider staying here again.

One night in New Orleans

We stayed 1 day/night in at Le Meridien before leaving on a cruise. The hotel was beautiful, clean and modern, very European. The staff was very welcoming, and because we had to wait a short amount of time to get into the room (cleaning staff was still working), we were upgraded to a better room with a view of the water.
In the lobby, to welcome guests, they had staff making fresh cinnamon pastry you could load with toppings.
The pool area was really nice, up on the roof of floor 5, clean, and located right next to a sunny workout room.
This hotel was VERY conveniently located within walking distance to the French Quarter, a few minute walk to Cafe DuMonde for beignets, and across the street from the Harrahs casino.
I would definitely stay there again next time I travel to the Crescent City.

Husband's Conference
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is in a great central location. My husband was at a conference at the convention centre and I tagged along. It's a great location to explore the French Quarter, Warehouse District, Garden District. It's only 2 blocks from the trolley car stop on Canal Street. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The concierge, Danny, is a wealth of knowledge and gives great tips. The room was clean and the bed was cozy. The only weird thing is the lack of refrigerator...there is a 'cooler' that I put a bucket of ice in to keep the drinks cold.
There was no bath tub and the shower was a very nice size with several shower-head settings.
There is not a 'free' breakfast but coffee is free and a good start to the day.
I loved the workout room. Plenty of good equipment that all seemed to be in working order. Towels and cold water are always available.

Nice hotel in Center of New Orleans

Hotel is conveniently located in the center of New Orleans. Rooms are really nice and bathroom is well equipped. Staff is really helpful with booking tours. All the hotspots are close by as well for nice restaurants. We reached by car and then Valet parking is the only option. 40 dollars is quite a price, but you car is safely parked.

Good Location with a Welcoming Staff

My children and I just returned from a three-night stay at the Le Meridien. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk from the French Quarter, a short walk to the aquarium, and near plenty of places to eat. It is a little further from the downtown action, which was perfect for me and my kids.
The people at the hotel, especially the front desk, could not be nicer or more willing to help! We were greeted with a good morning, and then a 'How was your day?' upon returning every day. They could not have been more welcoming.
The room was modern, but small. We had to step into the bathroom in order to get in through the main door and into the room. Still, for a few nights it was just fine. The room was clean and the bathroom updated. The hotel kindly provides bottled water in the room for free, which was a plus with two kids and the beautiful, warm weather. There was also a small fridge in the room for storing the water. The bed was very comfortable, but the walls are thin, as some others mentioned. I was awakened several times the first night by hall noise.
The fitness center is a nice size with cardio, weight machines, and free weights. The outdoor pool was nice as well, although by the third day, I had to skim it myself, and it was looking low on water.
All in all, a good stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff!
