Perfect location for a show
Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed at the Le Meridien for a show at the Fillmore. Perfect location as it was right across the street. Front desk check in and out was efficient and friendly. We ended up with a room upgrade upon check in as a Marriott Gold member. Room was roomy and quiet with a view of Poydras. We really liked the bath amenities by Malin & Goetz. All in all a good stay with attentive staff service.

Don't be in a hurry

Breakfast this morning we ordered 2 fruit and yoghurt plates, 1 tea, 2 orange juice, 1 bagel and 2 toast. Almost an hour later we received our order with only 1 toast and the cheque for $59! We complained about the service and missing item and received an apology a $9 discount. Also a assurance that this was not their usual service.

It should be said that no one had quick service whilst we were there.

Well done but room for improvement

Would have given this a 5 but they dropped the ball on handling overcharges. Other than that accommodations are nice yet simple. Professional staff, spacious rooms well appointed. Not fancy but perfect for a business traveler seeking a quiet spot close to the convention center. Very low key bar so not thinking it’s a great match for a party person.

Great location

Stayed here for work trip, walking distance to convention center and the French Quarter. Plenty of places to go eat within a 10 minute walk. Staff was friendly, check in was fast. WiFi free if you are Marriott rewards member. Room was spacious, fridge in room. Would stay here again.

Great food, modern lobby and bar, great customer service, Average room with issues.

I chose this hotel due to the price point and proximity to the convention center. The lobby, bar and common areas of the hotel are very nice. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I requested a room on a high floor and away from elevators as I always do when traveling. The food at the bar was delicious. I had a chicken Cesar salad and it was lovely with fresh baby tomatoes and black olives. The dressing was also very good. Service at the bar was great. The employee remembered my name and said hello to me the next day.

We intended on staying 5 nights for the Keller Williams Family Reunion convention however, we left after 3 nights due to a bad mattress and what we felt was a dirty room. I knew from the reviews I read that the room I chose was small. However, it was too small for my husband and I too feel comfortable. When you open the main door it opens into the bathroom area and is awkward. The color choice on the bathroom walls was an awful chocolate color which is odd for such a small space. We had a nice view of the river which made up for the size of the room. However, the mattress in this room needs to be thrown away. (room 2102). It had a dip on one side that gave me a back ache and no sleep the first night. The next morning my husband turned the mattress around to see i that would help. Then he slept in the hole, he had a horrible back ache and no sleep that night. This combined with a very stuffy room that had not been deep cleaned in years was really disappointing. There was dust all over the room, fingerprints and smudges on the mirror and an A/C system that did not work one of the nights. We were both sweaty all night. By the 3rd day we decided that neither of us could stand to be in that hotel so we checked out early and flew home early. We knew that the hotel was full due to the 2 conventions going on in NOLA and we didn't want to switch hotels. I did my best to check reviews and chose a good hotel however, I would not chose Le Meridian New Orleans again.
