How to Get There
This is a great hotel in the perfect location of the French quarter. Rooms are perfect for family's. Service is above average. Love the fact there is s restaurant attached to it. The only bad thing is the 50 dollars for parking.
We loved staying the night at La Galerie! The lobby and connected art gallery were beautifully appointed and calming. The check-in process was easy and we were welcomed with infused water and coffee, plus a welcome bag with snacks. We stayed in the King Suite with a King bed and daybed with trundle in a separate section that could be closed with a door. The kids loved sleeping in the separate twin beds. The linens, pillows and beds were lovely. The bathroom was perfectly updated but had the vintage feel- complete with a walk-in tiled shower. We found our room spacious and the perfect size for our family of 4. We loved the location and connecting bar/restaurant. We did wish for on-site parking or at least a voucher for parking ($50 a day at the Public Lot!!). Also, wanted to know the history of the building and what it was previously because some of the architectural feautes were intriguing. Would definitely stay here again (and recommend to friends)!
Wonderfully walkable location in the French quarter. Warm but professional staff. Lovely, comfortable room. We had problems with the AC, but they were addressed immediately with the offer of fans ornroom change.
Booked this last minute so my friends and I had a place to get out of the rain. During Mardi Gras , so I get the inflated price. After check in .im told that anyone coming in the hotel with me must buy a $40 wrist band! Wouldn’t have booked had I known.
When my husband and I first got to the hotel, we were NOT impressed! We were wanting a luxurious weekend with a nice, luxurious place to stay. This place is NOT your brand hotel. It is a boutique hotel which is waaaay different! The room and bathroom is super small! There's not really any sitting place outside or much in the lobby. There's no room service, no big tub, no fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker. Now, in saying all that....once we got use to the idea of where we were staying we ended up somewhat enjoying it. The coffee available in the lobby is actually pretty delicious too. All in all, it was an okay stay. I will definitely stay in a Sheraton or Marriott next time though.
