Details Matter

This hotel was good, but not great. It honestly did the job and that is all I can say about it. The service was sub par. Staff was friendly enough, but did not go out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Hotel is clean, but details matter in terms of paint chips on walls and fixing up minor things. Maid service did not come into my room until LATE pm on at least two days of my stay. If you are not looking for a over the top hotel this place is for you. Price is very fair and you will have a good experience!
The location of the hotel is great! Almost in walking difference to all main attractions!

Great Location

This was a great choice if you want to be within walking distance of everything. The hotel room itself was gorgeous. I really lilked the exposed brick and the hardwood floors. The attached art gallery was great also. Right next door, Coterie was a nice little restaurant for breakfast and also as a pick up location for tours. The price wasn't too high and the staff was helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

Amazing hotel, one of the best we've stayed in

Sitting writing this review from the comfort of my room in La Galerie as we check out this morning :( Upon check in, we were delighted to be informed that they had upgraded us to a King Suite.... Bonus!!
The room had a bedroom with a massive 60" smart TV, huge king bed, separate clothing and safe area and a nice view down on to the street outside. It then had a separate living room area with another big TV, single bed which was very comfortable, with a third pull out bed underneath this one. There was a desk, chair and mirror in the living area. The bathroom was very modern and the whole suite spotlessly clean. All staff we came across were friendly & helpful and the free coffee downstairs was a nice touch. Yes, the hotel does have some noise from other residents but we've found this most places we go, the hotel can't stop people coming in late and being noisy. I now take ear plugs wherever I go... Problem solved. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of all the action at the French Quarter but far enough out that you don't have all the noise, also the river just on the other side... Perfect!!To summarise... A fantastic, clean hotel, in a brilliant location. Would definitely stay here again, it would be my first choice if we are ever back in New Orleans.
