Fantastic All Around

My Fiancee and I stayed here for several days and had a fantastic time at International House. The rates for our room were very affordable, yet the quality of our room was fantastic. From the moment we stepped out of our taxi we were greeted with smiles outside the hotel by staff and had a wonderful experience with everyone we encountered at the front desk throughout our stay. We'd like to give a special shout-out to the 8th floor housekeeper who had prepared our room comfortably and perfectly clean upon arrival. Our housekeeper kept our room immaculate throughout our 5 night stay, and greeted us warmly with a smile when we left our room each day. The Bar was also a highlight with impressive cocktails and fantastic bartenders. This hotel is probably one of our favourates throughout our travels and we are grateful to all the staff for making our vacation truly exceptional. We would love to stay here again and give it our full recommendation.

Great hotel showing a little wear around the edges

This is probably about the fourth time I've stayed at the IHH over the last 14 years; I keep going back for the excellent location (adjacent to the French Quarter and the Warehouse District) and the chic vibe. The staff are fantastic, especially the wonderful bartenders at Loa.

Rooms/beds are clean and comfortable; bathroom are fine but small - especially the countertop! (good luck trying to fit two peoples' toiletries on it.) So there is definitely plenty to love. However - there is some wear & tear showing and I think a cosmetic refresh would serve them well. In our room, both the door handle and the toilet flush lever had loose pieces for example, and the tiny slow creaky elevators remind you of the age of the building.

Will continue to recommend and would stay here if the price is right, but this is somewhat funky charm, not seamless luxury.

What a gem!

Lovely smallish hotel in the centre of New Orleans. Great location for getting out and about. Stayed 5th to 13th September, 2019. Staff brilliant and extremely helpful. Food not available but coffee, tea and fruit available in the foyer each morning. We had a great stay.
