How to Get There
A fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Very easy walking distance to the French quarter without being right in the middle of the noise. Also easy walk to the WWII museum on the other sides. Gorgeous bar and super helpful staff. Room wasn’t massive but we weren’t in it a lot! Would 100% recommend
Our second stay at IH - what a pleasant surprise to be upgraded to a beautiful corner room with a hand written welcome note and complimentary amenities. So happy to hear Ms. Cowsill will return in the fall with her Songwriter Series in the Loa Bar, what introduced us to the IH for the first time, and the reason for our return. We really love the unique atmosphere and the location is perfect to enjoy all the very best that New Orleans has to offer. We will absolutely be back again, and again...Thank you!
International House Hotel is a nice hotel without (nice) surprises. The people at the desk were very kind and pleasant. The lobby was beautiful but i never understood why they had dimmed the lights so much, especially during the night hours. The rooms had nice fixtures, wallpapers, etc and they were always clean, even though we did see a few stains on the mattress. The layout was awkward. One of the two rooms didn't even have a desk to place our things. The views were ok, considering that both rooms that we were given were at the back of the building. The bed was very soft but not to my liking.
Sophisticated, sultry bar with delicious, creative cocktails. We stayed 6 days and visited the bar lounge several times. Staff is warm and friendly, yet not intrusive. Great location to visit French quarter, catch the trolley lines to anywhere in the city. We loved our visit and we will stay here again when we come back.
Very nice hotel. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The location is great, you can walk to many attractions from the hotel. Two things I didn't see was a microwave or an ice machine. This hotel does not have a restaurant or a pool to my knowledge. The bar area is very nice though. I would stay again because the front desk gave great customer service and the location was great.
