How to Get There
As an event organizer, this property exceeded all expectations! We were hosting a group of 100 guests with about 40 rooms booked.
The sales director (Tiffany) and coordinator (Alexis) were AMAZING! Both were a pleasure to work with showed great attention to detail in organizing our stay and went the extra mile to make sure all our rooms were assigned together on the same floor. As a professional working with hotels all over the U.S., I have had every type of experience dealing with sales staff and have rarely had such a friendly and hard working team on the property working so hard to meet every need.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the best valet staff in New Orleans. Kendrick and Grady were exceptionally efficient by helping us unload a massive amount of equipment for our event. As our guests arrived, they were helped immediately and at no point was the front of the hotel disorganized and chaotic as we have experienced at other large hotels in New Orleans.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful the entire stay. Juana, Brian, Diamond and others were welcoming and on point at all times and welcomed everyone there as they came through the door each time we walked in.
The bell staff was fast and friendly with no wait to get our luggage to our room. The engineering staff did a great job with event set up. And, the banquet team was one of the best we have ever encountered! The F&B manager (Bryn) was on site and available for what seemed like 48 hours straight! The catered food we ordered was plentiful, well presented, and delicious! And, the banquet attendant (Robert) was charming and delightful!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a group and to all who want to enjoy New Orleans in a beautiful hotel with superior staff, rooms, and event space to look no farther and book now! JOB WELL DONE!
I traveled to New Orleans on buisness and would have never tried the hotel of not for the promotion Marriott was having (they want you to try all 29 hotels). SO GLAD I DID!. My room 805 I think, was amazing! The Vibe of the hotel was shiek an fantastic! The staff was kind, knowledgable, I loved this place. The location is far enough away from Bourbon St and Canal to make it quiet, but close and safe enough to walk. I can not say enough good things about the place. I would like to say that the breakfast was sub par in comparision to most Marriott's I have stayed at and a little expensive ($15.00 for not hot food). Other than that THIS PLACE is INCREADBLE!! I will be back!
Let’s start with the good. Since I arrived the staff have been very professional and supportive to us as we are first time visitors to New Orleans. The hotel is also very affordable. Those are my two positives.
Now here are my gripes, I am traveling with a coworker and the bathroom door offers no privacy. The door is a glass slide door that doesn’t close all the way. The bathroom is also pretty small and the drainage is extremely slow which wouldn’t make me mention it if it was the only fault I found.
The thing that I am most upset about is the noice of everybody that walks by my door, it sounds as if they were standing by my bed. The door is non existent, paper thin! New Orleans is a party city and I understand people are coming home drunk all types of night, but do I have to hear them all?! The noise wakes me up constantly. It’s just awful. For those two reasons I wouldn’t recommend staying here, unless staying up all night is your thing.
Great location, walking distance from everything. The room was modern and clean. Loved the lobby bar. Walls were a little thin for my taste but other than that, I enjoyed it. Maybe the best part of the hotel was the extremely friendly staff. Diamond at the front desk is the jewel of the place, her enthusiasm is contagious and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The young bartender guy at night was also so helpful and great.
Great Location for a short trip. Walking distance to most of Downtown, French Quarter and Gaming zone. Stay away from the interior rooms with the window to the hallways. Not the Hotel for resting, but to hit the street and crash for a few hours. Friendly staff. Clean and convenient.
