The room was clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. The hire is centrally located with about anything you want in walking distance. Complimentary airport shuttle was nice. Would recommend when traveling to Baton Rouge

Worst Valet Service EVER! Great Hotel Staff
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The service from valet really dampened the experience. I was told to drive around the corner until spots opened. Valet staff rude and waited 30 mins for my car after calling ahead. Please hire more staff to valet; with the weather and graduation weekend. They team should have been prepared.

Great hotel staff. Loved the bar specialty cocktails and the check in staff was great as well.

Excellent Stay

Had a very good stay and amenities were excellent. Free shuttle to airport. Good Guest Service. Fast check-in. Decent breakfast at Executive Lounge and access till 8pm. Nice view from pool area. Fitness center was ok, I wish the windows were open to nice view of the river.

Very Nice

Our flight out of Baton Rouge was cancelled due to bad weather so we booked a night in this hotel. We got a king bed for $116, which was surprisingly cheaper than some of the smaller chains. It was LSU and Southern University graduation weekend so we were even more surprised. We knew from stays a few years back that they also had a good restaurant and since it was pouring rain we didn’t want to go out to eat. This is a historical hotel, once called The Heidelberg and a favorite of former governor Huey Long. Legend has it that he had an underground tunnel from the hotel to the old capital building so he could visit his mistresses privately. The decor is shabby chic, lots of gold trim, but the rooms and beds are comfortable and the shower and vanity space adequate. There’s a mini fridge, coffee station, and two complimentary bottles of water. The morning we checked out there was a Mother’s Day Brunch in the restaurant that we couldn’t stay for, so we had a good room service breakfast we ordered the night before and was delivered promptly that morning. Check out was easy and when we went outside to hail a cab, one of their curbside valets said he would drive us to the airport in their shuttle for free. All in all a very positive experience after a day of frustrating waiting and cancellations at the airport.
