Secrets Los Cabo

I haven’t written a review in a while, but could not resist supporting the Secrets Puerto Los Cabos resort. The staff is amazing, we didn’t encounter anyone that was not willing to help or provide advice. Solomon, from the pool area was amazing and a very hard worker! We rented a pool cabana for a couple of days and prices were reasonable ($50 USD), highly recommended and you can book through concierge. The rooms and grounds of hotel are kept very clean, the staff works hard to maintain the property and it shows!

We had dinner at Portofino, El Patio and Himitsu- had excellent service at each and would recommend! The Buffett selections were changed frequently for variety- lots of fresh fruits and veggies available! The coco cafe staff were always friendly, make sure to try their chocolate chip cookies! All of the pastries were so fresh and delicious.

We had a garden view room and didn’t miss an ocean view because this property does sit far from the ocean in most areas, swimming is not recommended as the waves and currents are intense on this side of Cabo. If you like swimming in the ocean, this may not be the place for you- we were told there was a Public beach nearby but did not check it out. There are many options for activities, we only did a sunset sail and felt content as we wanted to be lazy and chill. There are lots of entertainment options at the resort including day and evening activities such as yoga, water aerobics and music or entertainment in the evenings.

We would return to Secrets- we heard Sept- October are rainy season, we never saw a drop of rain in May!

Great service terrible food.

Food was a total disgrace. I actually lost weight because I couldn’t finish any meal except for the Japanese Hibachi. The desserts taste like they came from a gas station. Everything else was Awesome.

Beautiful, but could use some improvements.

This was our second time traveling to an all inclusive and adults only resort so we had high expectations especially when booking a nice resort. Overall, the resort is beautiful and is pretty great, but I did enjoy my resort in Cancun much more than this one.
The cons: Not all employees were as friendly and accommodating as they could have been-I asked for condensed milk with my coffee and the lady working the coffee shop told me that she could only give me a little amount: I paid plenty of money to be here and enjoy my all inclusive service. It was annoying because I know they have plenty of condensed milk. Some waiters were not as attentive as others- they would pay more attention to certain tables. Even though they had bikes (for their bike tours), they wouldn't allow us to rent them during the times they were not using them for the bike tours. Ubers can not pick you up near your building and you will have to walk to the very front gate to call an Uber- they can drop you off near your building though. They didn't have Don Julio at all of the bars. They need to have more people to help the other hard working staff- the pool bar would only have 1 bartender with overwhelming demand of drinks to make-please have at least 2 bartenders so they are not over worked. They could use some assistant waiters to make service more attentive and quicker. Room service also took a very long time.

The pros: Beautiful resort with a beautiful view on the patio. I loved the different types of flowers surrounding the resort. The beach was beautiful even though you can't swim in it. 99% of the people were very friendly and kind-the 1% that weren't did leave a mark on me though. The food was good with plenty of variety. I enjoyed their Mexican night with mariachi and Mexican buffet. The free bike tour (on certain days) was one of my favorite activity! The most memorable thing of my trip was the entertainment team (I only remember Lukas, Carlos, Gustavo, Javier, and Kevin). They knew every single person in my group of friend's names. We hung out with them every day and had so much fun. They played volleyball, ping pong, and putt putt with us. They also taught a very fun water aerobics class as well. They were very sweet and I know we will miss them a lot.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and had a great time! A few improvements and maybe I would come visit this resort again.

Top notch experience

Pedro and Oscar G were great to deal with, the resort was beautiful and everything was just so clean. When I come back to Cabo I will definitely be staying at this resort again no doubt about it. Everything was truly exceptional. Thank you to the entire staff!

The resort is exceptionally beautiful. The food was superb. I’d definitely be back. Really enjoyed the bar near the beach with the swings at the bar. Lots of activities to participate in. Just an overall beautiful resort.
