Breakfast service should be changed
Reviewed 4 hours ago

This is our second time staying at the resort in a year. Some changes definitely present-when first called hotel to ask about booking with kids. Got directed and hang up on twice. We had such a positive experience the first time that we ignored this.

The quality of the food at the Gabi has suffered slightly. Salads-pacific salads were our favourite. Not the same as before-perhaps not as fresh?

The worst thing was the breakfast-waiting 15minutes to sit down?? This is a big deal breaker. Everyone is hungry in the morning. There are a ton of seats. You can no longer sit down by yourselves and there are a ton of empty seats! There is only one person at the front handling seating people and they are also fluttering around try to get things done?? The seating area outside now has a separate buffet area that’s half the size and the door easily allowing access to main buffet is locked. People were upset and hypoglycaemic. No five star hotel would continue have such poor service for the first meal of the day. Please seriously look into this. There are not enough staff at the breakfast cafe. (Empty tables and huge line????)

Also kids club no longer handles kids under age of 4.

An time so amazing we had to make it last longer

My husband and I are currently staying at The Royal Service at Paradisus Los CABOS and we're having such an amazing time we had to turn our 11 day stay into a 16 day stay. First and foremost we have had the most amazing staff interactions from the moment we checked in. The Butler staff, every server wherever we have gone, as well as the housekeeping staff have made our holiday an amazing success. The food is quite good, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms and public spaces are kept very clean. I will post a follow up with all of the names and a final run down after we leave but we want you to know you have far exceeded our expectations and made Paradisus our Paradise

Paradise at Paradisus!

This was our 3rd stay at Paradisus (various locations), and the 2nd in Royal Service. Yes, Royal Service IS worth it. Valentin, our butler, was incredibly attentive and excellent at follow through. He even surprised us with a gallon of distilled water, after we had inquired about where to purchase it. They decorated our room with balloons and flowers in celebration of our honeymoon. So sweet! We had a lovely oceanview room on the top floor. Paradisus was the perfect quiet getaway we were looking for.
It is so clean, it is spotless. Absolutely spotless. The grounds are well taken care of: natural, and beautiful.
Overall, the food and beverage service at this property exceeded our prior experiences. Portion size was perfect! La Palapa ended up being our "go to" spot. Excellent choices, lovely presentations, undeniably delicious, and most of all, incredible service. Celso waited on us at our first dinner there and he made us feel welcome and special. Miguel was our waiter for most of the other meals and he made such a difference! This property did not have nightly shows but there was live music for the most part, and a very fun variety show & dinner on Friday night. Gastro Bar offered excellent service. We had the standard 4 course tasting menu. Neighboring properties hosted firework displays 3 out of the 7 nights we were there, and they were spectacular! We had front row seats from the Royal Service lounge. The only comment we would have is to have a little more variety in the snack selection in the lounge.
Mole was the other outstanding restaurant. Carlos at Mole was so helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and in helping us make good choices. Salmon al Pastor and the beef filet with coffee sauce were high recommendations from Isidro, Certified Sommelier. He was right! He also taught us a lot in the wine & cheese class.
We ate twice at Gabi bar. The first time, the shrimp tacos and other fare were excellent. The second time, the nachos fell far from expectations. We did not return.
Monica at YHI Spa gave me the best deep tissue massage ... ever! In fact, the spa was smaller than at the other properties, but very private.
Water at all the venues was served in recyclable glasses from a bottled source; we assume it is because of their commitment to an eco focus. Two thumbs up on that one! Turndown service was classy.
They even threw a Superbowl party the weekend we were there. Very creative, and by far the biggest screen. It was so fun.
Pool service was excellent. Jesus helped us every time with the umbrellas as they are heavy and difficult to manuever. The lounge chairs, on the other hand, were very comfortable, new and easy to manuever. Drinks were well made -- definitely try the mango daiquiri. The only issues we had with the pool were: no sunscreen, and the pool itself was cold.
Rooms were above average, but the bed was a little too soft for 2 people who are used to a firm mattress. It would have been nice to have more than one sink, and doors (either sliding ones or pocket doors) for the closet rather than curtains. Sometimes they replenished the water in the minibar, sometimes not. Restaurant reservations in advance were difficult, but everything got straightened out in the end. Buffet was closed for dinner so if you want a quiet dinner without children, you'd be best off making an 8 p.m. or later reservation.
Just a heads up: the beach is rocky so you'll need to wear shoes to make it to the water. There's a beautiful set up on the beach for Paradisus guests and Jose was more than accomodating. More variety of snacks in the Royal Service Lounge would have been nice.
We would definitely stay at a Paradisus again, and in Royal Service. Many thanks to the high standards management has set, and for creating a working environment employees are visibly happy to be in. Overall, an excellent experience.

Relaxing, beautiful, wonderful staff!

The property is beautiful! The rooms were nice, not great, but nice. The pool is large and the swim-up bar is great! They could mix the drinks a bit stronger, but the service all around and the staff was top-notch. We chose the Royal Service package, I would very much recommend doing that. We were assisted by a gentleman by the name Valentin who couldn't have been better - he deserves a raise! The restaurants provide all sorts of options and each were unique but collectively very solid with their food. Never had a bad meal! Views of the ocean are outstanding and we even regularily saw Whales out swimming. My only item to be aware of, and I wish the property would look into this, yeah I get its vacation and a get away, but no bars areas, lounges, or restaurants have a TV with anything on. It would be cool in a bar area to have a TV with a game on. The few people (men/dads) I spoke with said the same thing - let them get away for an hour by themselves and have some beers and watch a football/basketball etc game. If you go Super Bowl weekend, prepare yourselves men. They set up a viewing indoors when it was 80 degrees outside. Hardly anyone showed up. Had they done pool-side or by the ocean they would've sold out. Not to mention the projection screen they put up was like watching a scrambled mess. Anyway, easy to poke holes in small things like that, but I do highly recommend this place. Positives far far outweigh these petty critiques. Awesome staff, so relaxing, great property, outstanding food selections.

Clean, quiet resort

Traveled to Paradisus at the end of January and had an excellent stay. The resort is kept very clean staff are always working hard at this! Rooms are exactly as pictured and were well stocked with drinks and coffee every day. My husband and I decided not to upgrade to royal service and we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything.
The beach is beautiful yes the sand is like small rocks but walking on it with bare feet was not bad the trade off to be able to swim in the beautiful water was worth it! We could always find a chair with an umbrella to lounge and more times then not we were able to grab a bali bed which both of us really enjoyed.
The resort offered free 5 minute massages by the pool which I thought was a very nice experience!
For the most part food was excellent, there were some things that I tried that weren't to my taste but I believe that was a personal opinion not reflection of resort.
Location is great! We took a cab in to Cabo San Lucas to see the Arch with no issues.
Overall we had an excellent vacation at Paradisus!!
