How to Get There
We highly recommend a stay at the Hyatt Ziva Cabo. The food and cocktails are fantastic. The staff are superb. A special mention to Margerita and Ana at the breakfast buffet. Erik Vasquez, Maria Zamora and Luis Soto at the adult pool bar. You must try Maria's tuna tostado. Also Juan, Angel and Marco at the Italian restaurant. You all made the experience so special. We will be back. Regards Glen & Deb Smith
We came here for my wedding. The rooms are nice and most of the staff was polite. Several restaurants were closed during our stay and several people in my group got sick from one place, so the food options were limited. The wedding services were not good. My cake was wrong, the coordinator disappeared and we had to drag her from her office when we had an issue, and then comments were made to my guests that were completely uncalled for. The best part of this trip was our waiter Francisco and "the taco lady" by the pool.
As for customer service it was hit or miss. Some greeted you very sweetly and they all put their hands over their heart when saying hello. Others (bartenders) were not so nice and kind of disengaged. The restaurants were ok. I was tired of the buffet by day 2. The French restaurant was not good at all. the restaurants also make you wait so long then when you finally get in there they want to rush you out because now its time for the restaurant to close. Asian restaurant was the best followed by the Italian restaurant. Pools were great.
I had a great summer vacation at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. After staying at the Hyatt Ziva we vowed that we would defiantly be back soon. We choose the private transportation to the hotel. The cost was $150 and was well worth it. It gave us more of a personal feel than being in a shared shuttle. We were transported in a newer model Chevrolet suburban. The driver was very courteous and gave us great information about Cabo. When we checked into the hotel we were upgraded to a Ziva Suite which consisted on a separate living room, stocked mini refrigerator, a bedroom and 2 bathrooms. (I’m not sure if the upgrade was because we are Hyatt Club members or because my husband mentioned that it was our anniversary. The suite was located by the kid’s pool and although we didn’t have any kids with us this was a great location. This had to be the quietest kids pool area that I had ever seen. I was even able to take afternoon naps without any issues. We really enjoyed the resort. We spent most of our time just relaxing. Our favorite locations to visit around the resort was the adults pool and the sports bar. In the sports bar is where I met my favorite bartender of all times….Cecilia. She was great awesome. Every time she saw me she new exactly what to serve me; the Caipirinha which I affectionally nicknamed the Capri-Sun. Cecilia recommended this drink to me on my first day at the sports bar and it did not disappoint. Our favorite restaurants were the DoZo for Teppanyaki and La Hacienda Beach grill. While we were at the resort we also enjoyed a couple’s message at the spa. Of course, I had to try to fish pedicure. I really enjoyed myself at this resort. I talked so much about my experience that I have numerous friends and family members organizing trips to Cabo and the Hyatt Ziva.
For starters, the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. It's huge and all the decor is awesome. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room we had was insanely amazing as well - ocean and pool view and it was breathtaking. The food we had was so good. Many options to choose from and it was all delicious. The Coco Loco snack bar had people at your service by the pool if you wanted some chips & guac or tacos. The Baja Bar aka the adult pool/bar area was the best bar to relax at. My boyfriend and I had made friends with the best bartenders Erik and Valentin. They were so cool and nice it was the place to be for some good conversation and drinks! We really enjoyed them so we tipped them handsomely. There wad also a cool bar near the lobby that had a dj every night at 10 am. The bartender there, Luis, was also great! It was cool to pregame there and go to the clubs in Downtown Cabo San Lucas or to just chill, drink and go to the hotel room. The 24 hour room service was also a blessing when you have the munchies at 2 am! Overall, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is such a great experience. Highly recommend this resort!
