How to Get There
From the moment you arrive you are relaxed. Great staff. The bellmen Fernando, Tomas, and Christian. Diego at the front desk. Raul, Alex, Daniel and Ospry (sp) at the upper pool. Katrina at the restaurant. I'm forgetting some names, sorry about that.
The service was not good. One waiter for 12 people. Crazy Also we were told that they except pesos or credit cards. When we were leaving and they had already taken our money we were stopped as we left and told they only take credit card after excepting our pesos. They were not polite and when we told then we did not have a credit card. They said we 3 couples that had no card and had to pay cash. Food was so so.
When it was The grand it was a much better villas and service.
Baja Point and the Westin Vacation Club are a beautiful, well maintained resort. The views are spectacular and the location, closer to San Jose than San Lucas, is a perfect place to rest and relax. Our only issue with the resort is the lack of cushions on the lounge chairs at the pools. The Westin side of the resort has two very large pools with plenty of lounge chairs available but NONE of the lounge chairs have any cushions. The Baja Point side of the resort has two pools as well, the first pool, visible from the main entrance, has twelve lounge chairs with amazing cushions, the lower pool, right on the beach, has plenty of lounge chairs ALL WITHOUT cushions. During our stay, one week, the lounge chairs with the cushions were taken by the time we got to the pool everyday - mid/late morning. A resort of this level should have cushions on ALL the lounge chairs not just a prized twelve.
My family spent a week at Baja Point in the Westin Los Cabos. Such a wonderful resort. I highly recommend for families. Christian deserves special mention for helping us with all of our grocery bags and for being a delight to our young daughter. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I just returned home from a week stay at Baja Point with 2 college friends of 47 years. We all just wanted a week to simply relax and enjoy each other's company. From the moment we walked into our 2 Bedroom/3 Bath villa we were awed!!!! (and we've traveled to some amazing places together). The furnishings were modern - the rooms - more than spacious!!! This was by far our favorite place. Our Villa was right at the edge of a cliff at the ocean,- we could hear the waves even with our balcony doors and windows closed. The staff all over the resort were friendly and welcoming- attentive and responsive to our every need. I'm sure I'll forget some by name who deserve a special mention - Alfredo & Roberto at Pool Luna...... Bellman Fernando............Raul the pool concierge upstairs....... The infinity pools overlooked the ocean so we were never out of sight of the beautiful blue water of the Sea of cortez.. We never left the property in all 8 days except for a quick trip into San Jose for dinner and the art walk on a Thursday night. It was a perfect week.
THe Baja Point is part of the Westin Beach Club Resort so you are able to use all the facilities there as well.
