Attentive and friendly service
Reviewed 1 month ago

We recently visited Mexico for the first time and decided to use our Vistana ownership to reserve a 1 bedroom premium villa at Baja Point. I must say the resort is a beautiful, out of the crowds gem, with a staff that really wants you to enjoy your stay. We had emailed the concierge ahead of our visit to prearrange for a private car from the airport. It was pricey but our driver was easy to locate and very helpful. Upon arrival at the resort our room was ready, even though it was only 1 pm. Karla and Paco at the reception desk were very helpful and always available if we had questions. Our room was much larger than most time share 1-bedroom units we’ve stayed in. Plenty of hangers in the two closets, a second full bath, a hot tub on our covered patio, and lots of towels were unexpected but greatly appreciated!
We spent plenty of time at the pool where Roberto, Ozdy, and Daniel took impeccable care of us! They made great margaritas and we ate lunch here several times as well. We had access to an owners pool and the full Westin resort next door but we found the smaller pool in Baja Point perfect for our needs. The beach here is pretty but you can’t swim or even wade in the water without putting yourself in danger.
We did venture to the Westin for dinner and drinks at the Baja sports bar and grill. Edgar waited on us each time and was so friendly! He remembered what we were drinking each time we returned. We sat outside, most of the time, to enjoy our meals with a view of the ocean. We’d recommend the skirt steak tacos and the fish and chips, but everything was delicious!
We didn’t have a car but Daniel, the Westin Vacation Club concierge, directed us in how to navigate the public bus into both Cabo San Lucas and Cabo San Juan. If you know where to get off the bus, and don’t mind walking, it’s a low cost alternative to renting a car or taking a taxi. Daniel also gave us several recommendations for dining in both towns, which helped tremendously.
All in all we loved our week in paradise. This resort is remotely located and away from the party scene of Cabo San Lucas. We felt safe venturing off the property but because everyone was so attentive and friendly, we really didn’t need to leave. We are looking forward to returning in the future!

Baja Point is an amazing Boutique Resort!

First class all the way! You can use all of the amenities at Baja Point plus all of the amenities of The Westin. The staff, service, condo's, restaurants are all amazing! It is truly a hidden gem built into a mountain, close to San Jose and all of the best golf courses.

Quiet, relaxing getaway in the sun

My friend and I wanted a relaxing, adult-oriented sun escape for four nights and Baja Point was perfect. The check-in area is small, the feeling is exclusive and the sea views are stunning. Our room had a panoramic beach view and plenty of space for two gals-two queen beds, double sinks, separate shower and soaker tub. The small balcony was good for a breath of fresh air but I wish we could have had a larger space to sit out on. The infinity pool with beach access was awesome! The fact that they have two separate pools (plus an owners pool which of course non-owners do not have access to) in Baja Point is great. The children’s pool area is above, the other more adult oriented area was below, closest to the beach. Renzo was our server at the pool the whole time we were there and he was outstanding. He anticipated our needs-brought us the food menu at just the right time, set-up our loungers with towels, was courteous, professional and genuinely appeared to enjoy his position serving guests at Baja Point. The bartender Robert made us delicious Patron margaritas and kept them coming! What a great poolside team. Note: the waves are too rough for swimming at the beach here but you barely miss that because the infinity pool is so lovely.

Pool Rest and Relaxation

Spent one week. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Mario Navarette, Pool Concierge was a huge help to our large party. He helped make our time together so pleasant. He is a good person and a wonderful resource. I saw him interacting with other guests, who were very demanding and handled everyone’s needs equally.

Beautiful hotel and great location

I booked a hotel room at the Westin and was lucky to be placed at the Baja Point. It’s location and views are fabulous. My room looked over the beach with 100% water views. I took a bath looking at the blue waters.

The room was immaculate and service was excellent. The large bathroom with soaking tub and full walk in shower was a nice feature. I met friends who were staying next door at a different resort. The golf cart service to and from the resort was super nice. I used the lower pool which was a bit breezy due to the weather but quite well designed.

My only feedback for the resort would be to have front desk staff genuinely understand what is needed. I had to inform the front desk 3 times that I was checking out one day early. I’m not sure they quite understood or made the change.

Overall, I would highly recommend the resort and it was a lovely stay.
