How to Get There
I booked a hotel room at the Westin and was lucky to be placed at the Baja Point. It’s location and views are fabulous. My room looked over the beach with 100% water views. I took a bath looking at the blue waters.
The room was immaculate and service was excellent. The large bathroom with soaking tub and full walk in shower was a nice feature. I met friends who were staying next door at a different resort. The golf cart service to and from the resort was super nice. I used the lower pool which was a bit breezy due to the weather but quite well designed.
My only feedback for the resort would be to have front desk staff genuinely understand what is needed. I had to inform the front desk 3 times that I was checking out one day early. I’m not sure they quite understood or made the change.
Overall, I would highly recommend the resort and it was a lovely stay.
We are owners and visit 1-2 times a year and consider Los Cabos “our happy place”. Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by several staff members and escorted to your Villa. Villa’s are newly decorated and spacious, and features a full kitchen stocked with bottled water, washer/dryer, dishwasher and both dishwashing and laundry detergents. Bottled water is replenished each day. Each Villa features a Jacuzzi on the large balcony overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Coffee is complementary each morning on the pool level. Raul and pool staff will do all they can to keep you happy. We recommend having a car at your disposal as cabs are very expensive and Baja Point in on the Corridor 5.5 miles from San Jose and 13 miles from Cabo. We recommend Cactus Car Rental at the airport. Nice cars, nice people, good rates. You’ll know your full, including mandatory price before turning car in. No surprises.
We are Vistana owners in Cancun and Maui, we decided to use our options and try our Cabo. We booked at Baja Point/Westin, the rooms at Baja Point are beautiful, we had a 1 bedroom premium with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, large bedroom king size bed, and a really nice patio with a corner hot tub, with great views. Baja point is partially owned by Westin which is right next door. Connected by a small path, not a bad a walk to resturants, stores or different pools. We used the adults only pool at Baja Point, after a half day there the staff knew us and addressed us by name. I loved it. Alex, Daniel and Raul are rock stars at the pool. We had a few meals at the Westin and food was good. Breakfast Buffet on Sunday was VERY good.
All in all it was great stay. We will be back
If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation spot close to San Jose Del Cabo look no further than Baja Point. This relatively small resort has two and three bedroom villas. Is located on the sea of Cortez above the beach that extends for many miles.. In January and February whale watching is rewarded with constant activity close to the shore, right from your room or on the beach. If you’re lucky in January you can see sea turtles hatching from their nest heading to the ocean. The Resort has a large pool for families and a smaller adults only pool. The sunsets are spectacular every evening looking towards Cabo san Lucas. There is on site concierge Service as well as parking for your car. There is room service both at the pool and from the restaurant on site. You’re only 10 minutes away from San Jose Del Cabo and five minutes from a new modern full-service grocery store. A Mercato with multiple restaurants is less than a mile away from the resort. People who stay at the resort have full use of the Westin facilities located next-door. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at this pleasant resort.
When we stayed at BP Christmas week 2017 we had many concerns and disappointments. (I did not write a review at the then managers request). We stayed for 2 weeks this year- 12/22-1/5 and the improvements were remarkable! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Housekeeping was spot on this year, whereas that was one of the major problems last year. Our car was almost always waiting for us, even when we told them the night before when we would need it. A special thank you to the adult pool staff, Raoul (pool concierge) and Alex and Daniel whose never ending quest was to make sure all guests were well taken care of at all times.
Four star rating for the following reasons:
Some of the structures, areas are showing their age and in need of updating (ie. elevators), Sewage smell at times in outer areas .A need for more loungers at adult pool and titling umbrellas that actually block the sun. Suggestion- take out the sofa seating area on the far end and put extra loungers there. Also, if it's adults only it should be that way for everything. Allowing children to eat at that restaurant and then run around the area while waiting for food is not conducive to adults only. Lastly, more loungers and especially umbrellas for the beach area. For most of our time there were only two umbrellas "reserved" for 1 person. At times we were told no more umbrellas and then we saw more later. However, based upon the improvements in service already made and the rumors of upcoming improvements we will be back next yeat.
