How to Get There
OMG! My experience in the restarurant was excellently fantastic. I loved the food I still have the taste in my mouth. I loved the atmosphere they have in the place very friendly very attentive waiters very helpful.I will definitely be back soon.
I wanted to be able to leave casa natalia a 5 star review. The boutique hotel is beautifully designed and seemingly the perfect place for people who want to stay in chill san jose del cabo instead of in a huge resort in party town Cabo San Lucas.
The 3 downsides I could not ignore were
- the fact that the staff would hang out outside my door for 8 hours a day by their stocking room.
I could hear them talking constantly during the day whether I was relaxing by the pool or in my room. Highly unrelaxing especially when trying to read or watch movies. Management should designate a place for them to hang out when they are not working.
- the room was insanely loud. I had to sleep without the AC in 90 degree heat because that was better than the crazy noise. Also tons of street noise somehow even though San Jose is a tiny town
- wifi only worked in the common areas. Too weak to reach the rooms. Can be a significant downside to ppl without international cell service or who need to do things that require semi decent service
- (super annoying flies. Not their fault but really maddening)
Despite that there are still a ton of things I loved
- world class restaurant where hotel guests get a 20% off discount which is huge. San Jose del Cabo is a pricey town so with the discount, you get to eat incredible food for the same price as a mid star restaurant in town
- beautiful art and design everywhere
- complimentary juice all day. Was so good I had several glasses per day
- free coffee, tea, and cookies in the morning
- friendly helpful staff
- perfect central location and the main square is really chill
- relaxing hammocks
Hard to say anything more than what other guests have mentioned. The staff is absolutely the best, super helpful and friendly. Rooms and grounds are impecable. Loved our private terrace, decor was very tasteful, bed very comfortable. Quiet even though you are on main plaza of the historic district. Which, for enjoying walking, restaurants, music, and shops is a huge plus.
Location is excellent, although we were driving and did not realize we could not drive to the entrance. But staff carried our luggage from our car to hotel and road with my husband to their secured parking lot a block away. Police in plaza helped us by telling us we needed to park on other street and walk in.
Did not get a chance to dine there this time but will definitely try it next visit.
We stayed in the top-level suite...it has a terrace (wait, no two terraces!), an outdoor shower, an outdoor grill area...a lovely seating room, kitchen, dining area. Oh my gosh, it was amazing. We met the owner, who was fantastic. The staff was awesome. The drinks were awesome. The food was awesome. The location was awesome. I really can't say enough great stuff about this place. Will surely stay there again.
Tip: there was an art walk on the Thursday of our stay. It was two minutes walking distance and super fun.
For an AMAZINGLY wonderful gastronomic treat, you have to visit the restaurant at Casa Natalia. I have not had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, but if the hotel is as awesome as the food there, I would definitely be in for a treat. The grilled octopus was absolutely the best I have ever had. I went back to the restaurant just to re-live this incredible flavor. And the 2nd time around I found their BOB Spoon which is made of tequila-marinated salmon on a cilantro cream with avocado and topped with tamarindo salsa. OMG, you have got to try this.
