Overview

Luxe hacienda-style resort with a glam pool scene and dramatic setting between desert and ocean

The Lowdown

With a vibe that falls somewhere between St. Tropez and an Old World hacienda, this all-suite resort aims to lull guests into a state of bliss thanks to soothing sunshine-hued walls, tinkling fountains, vibrant blooms and, of course, the ever-present Sea of Cortez that laps the sand just out front. The all-inclusive room rate offers an impressive roll call of perks, from a welcome bottle of tequila to daily yoga classes and in-suite dining 24/7. Relax in a palapa on the sand for personalized facials and Mexican hot-stone massages at Sueños del Mar Spa, or cool off with a top-shelf cocktail (also included!) in one of the resort’s glam swim-up bars.

In the Area

Practice your swing at one of seven nearby golf courses, all designed by famous golfers and offering jaw-dropping ocean views. While you’ll likely want to make the most of your all-inclusive in-house dining options, head into Los Cabos to sample the hedonistic nightlife at a hotspot like Mandala, which offers the full velvet-rope, bottle-service experience—and the occasional celeb sighting. If your tastes run more to aquatic superstars, sign up with Cabo Eco Tours for a whale-watching adventure—humpback and grey whales spend winter frolicking in these waters.

Quiet area of Cabo. 20-25 minute ride to San Lucas. Staff very friendly! Freddy was awesome! Swim up bar had great staff! Franco and crew were awesome also. Not a lot going on at hotel,so if you want peace and quiet, this is it! Food was good at restaurant. Only one though. Pool food also was good! Surprised wife for our 29th wedding anniversary. Staff made it wonderful for us!

Great value in an expensive resort area

Cabo San Lucas is known as the most expensive of Mexican resort cities. I was there for a family gathering, and wanted a high-quality room without paying 400+ per night. This place is a gem. I stay at many any 4-and 5-star hotels, and Casa del Mar ticks all the boxes at a very reasonable rate - Beautiful design, immaculate premises, very well-appointed room, and great service

We truly enjoyed an awesome visit in our 3Br 3BA unit. Room service was great, drinks were specially outstanding and prices were fair. Special thanks to Francisco (grasshoppers????), Luis and Freddie who were great host. See you next time.
