Overview

Luxe hacienda-style resort with a glam pool scene and dramatic setting between desert and ocean

The Lowdown

With a vibe that falls somewhere between St. Tropez and an Old World hacienda, this all-suite resort aims to lull guests into a state of bliss thanks to soothing sunshine-hued walls, tinkling fountains, vibrant blooms and, of course, the ever-present Sea of Cortez that laps the sand just out front. The all-inclusive room rate offers an impressive roll call of perks, from a welcome bottle of tequila to daily yoga classes and in-suite dining 24/7. Relax in a palapa on the sand for personalized facials and Mexican hot-stone massages at Sueños del Mar Spa, or cool off with a top-shelf cocktail (also included!) in one of the resort’s glam swim-up bars.

In the Area

Practice your swing at one of seven nearby golf courses, all designed by famous golfers and offering jaw-dropping ocean views. While you’ll likely want to make the most of your all-inclusive in-house dining options, head into Los Cabos to sample the hedonistic nightlife at a hotspot like Mandala, which offers the full velvet-rope, bottle-service experience—and the occasional celeb sighting. If your tastes run more to aquatic superstars, sign up with Cabo Eco Tours for a whale-watching adventure—humpback and grey whales spend winter frolicking in these waters.

This is a charming and romantic resort with stunning beach views. Our room had a roman arch balcony and candle lit bath tub. The included breakfast offered great and deliciously fresh variety in a beautiful setting.

Truly Exceptional

Our stay was for several days. The room was in the hotel building and was terrific. Bathroom was roomy and conteporary. Bedroom was large with access to oversized balcony. Extremely comfortable bedding. Room well mainteianed and very clean. In fact whole property was spotless and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was almost anything desired. Pool area was quiet and comfortable witha good pool bar. Restaurant was good but really could up its game some. The service is superb but the menu is very limited and only ok. The meal plan is a very good eal keeping in mind that the dinners are very limited. They could use a small store with daily grab items and maybe some localart products. Our only complaint: the airport pick up which was not there when we arrived. Then had t go out and ask around and when he finally showed up he put us at an airport bar for450 minutes while he went off somewhere. Dont suggest using the airport pickup assigned by the hotel. Was not a good start, but quickly improved dramatically from there.

Had a super time at Casa del Mar. Great service, efficient and friendly staff, super room on the beach and the resort wasn’t busy so we had a very tranquil time. The spread every morning for breakfast was great really filled us up for the day.

Perfect Climate to Lay Back

I've stayed there at the Casa del Mar for the past four days including the weekend. Not sure if it was off season, but the hotel was just perfect. There were no crowds, and customer service was above and beyond, as we stayed in the "San Angel" water view suite. The view was perfect, the food was perfect, and the all out relaxation of seeming like we had the place to ourselves, even poolside at night. Slept so good. They also had events for guest, restaurant, and a place to eat breakfast. The rooms were bigger than I anticipated, but it was better then pictures could demonstrate. Walking the beach it seemed it's now a good time to visit before the summer crowd.

We love this place. It’s quiet and relaxing. My husband and I had a 2 hour massage / facial combo at the spa. It was phenomenal! The service at the restaurant is great! Shout out to Angel, Kennedy/Enrique, Freddy, Cesar & the breakfast crew! We’ll be back!
