Overview

Luxe hacienda-style resort with a glam pool scene and dramatic setting between desert and ocean

The Lowdown

With a vibe that falls somewhere between St. Tropez and an Old World hacienda, this all-suite resort aims to lull guests into a state of bliss thanks to soothing sunshine-hued walls, tinkling fountains, vibrant blooms and, of course, the ever-present Sea of Cortez that laps the sand just out front. The all-inclusive room rate offers an impressive roll call of perks, from a welcome bottle of tequila to daily yoga classes and in-suite dining 24/7. Relax in a palapa on the sand for personalized facials and Mexican hot-stone massages at Sueños del Mar Spa, or cool off with a top-shelf cocktail (also included!) in one of the resort’s glam swim-up bars.

In the Area

Practice your swing at one of seven nearby golf courses, all designed by famous golfers and offering jaw-dropping ocean views. While you’ll likely want to make the most of your all-inclusive in-house dining options, head into Los Cabos to sample the hedonistic nightlife at a hotspot like Mandala, which offers the full velvet-rope, bottle-service experience—and the occasional celeb sighting. If your tastes run more to aquatic superstars, sign up with Cabo Eco Tours for a whale-watching adventure—humpback and grey whales spend winter frolicking in these waters.

January 2019 most wonderful holiday ever spent thanks to Las Residances Casa Del Mar, our accomodation was for 6 people and we had plenty of room for all, a fully equipped kitchen, ground floor level, therefore walk out to poolside was awesome! All grounds and buildings were quiet, eloquent and THE VIEW! Everything was extremely well kept, the grounds crew were always queitly working and the room cleaning group quick and thorough!

It is a very expensive place, but this condo in Cabo, you will LOVE it. 4 rooms, jakuzzi in the balcony, 2 TV's, large fridge,2 bathrooms. I was so pleased with a restaurant, which is approx. 50m away from condo. Review is from Casa del Mar Pelicano, room 301, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.

Service was good - a quiet resort - not much happening but that’s what we wanted. Breakfast was good and we had a nice dinner one night. For the price I give it 5 stars. We got the golf package and we were pleased with the golf courses.

Room with broken air conditioning/Bad food

The hotel is lovely but when I arrived, they first gave me a room in one of the timeshare buildings about an eight minute walk from the hotel. I was traveling with a group and requested to be moved to the main hotel. I was told they were “fully booked.“ Apparently they had forgotten that one of their bookings was mine. After a few hours they said they could move me to a room with two beds instead of a king. I said fine.I went out for the evening and returned to a hot room. I called the main desk and no one answered. I spent a very hot and uncomfortable night trying to sleep in a 77° room. The next morning the engineer lied to me and told me the air conditioning was fixed and that I should wait half an hour and it would cool down. I finally insisted on being moved to another room. I had to pack up and then unpack in the new room. The hotel refused to make any accommodation for the discomfort and inconvenience.I spent several hours of my vacation dealing with this nonsense. In addition to all of this, the food at the hotel really isn’t good. It’s just not worth it. timeshare buildings about an eight minute walk from the hotel. Casa Del Mar is a delight for the senses. The property and pool grounds are beautiful. The hotel is wonderful with great staff. The master suite we had was large and comfortable with a great balcony and view of the ocean.
