How to Get There
We loved stating at the Playa Grande resort. Everything was always clean, from our room, to the restaurants and pool side. The staff are very attentive, but I want to call attention to a few as they are incredible and need to be recognized.
Gabby – She is part of the entertainment staff and goes out of her way to help. We were taking pictures as part of our anniversary and were wearing Día de Los Muertos masks. One of our good friends didn’t have a mask, so she made him one to wear on very short notice.
Salma, Jordan, Umberto, and Roberto are also part of the entertainment staff that have always gone out of their way to help in any way they can and make our stay wonderful.
Daniel and Jose are part of the wait staff. Daniel works down by the adult pool and we were never without a drink. During our stay we had many different waiters down at the pool, but none of them remotely compare to Daniel. He was so fantastic that we went out of our way to sit in his section.
Jose works in the restaurants, and we mostly had him as our waiter in Puerto San Lucas and during the Fiesta and Beach parties. He is always laughing and made us feel so welcome. He always made sure we had everything we needed, and we would look for him in every restaurant we were at so that we could sit in his section if he was working. He also makes a FABULOUS Mexican Coffee.
I highly recommend staying at Playa Grande.
Playa Grande was nothing short of exceptional! Great food at every meal, premium cocktails, wonderful staff, clean and pristine rooms and landscaping. Joseph at the Calima morning buffet was outstanding!
We've been going to Playa Grande for 20 years. Always great service, but exceptionally great this year! If you're sitting by the pool, look for Merriam. She genuinely wants to make your day the greatest!
