- A scale in the bellboy area makes pre-airport luggage weighing (and repacking if necessary) a breeze

How to Get There
I've been a member since 2009. Always looked forward to coming to Playa Grande. It is our favorite home away from home. Staff is always the most friendly and always trying to make our stay as fun and comfortable as possible. During our last stay in May 2019 I noticed an area near the adult pool marked for Prestige Members only. Is this for real? I thought we were all members and entitled to same service as anyone else. No matter how much more or less money a member has to spend. This restricted area for upper members is not right . We all spend the same hard earned money as anyone else. Maybe its time for a change.
Beautiful resort on the Pacific - only downside is you cannot swim in the ocean at this location due to strong undertow, but the beach is beautiful. You can walk to the marina and catch a water taxi to Modano Beach on the Sea of Cortes and swim in the ocean there, but the resort has plenty of pool space. The upper and middle pool areas are family friendly, with music playing and activities from the entertainment team. There is an adult only infinity pool on the beach for a more peaceful experience. Downtown Cabo San Lucas is within walking distance (or is a $2 per person cab ride) for a variety of restaurants and nightlife (the resort's all inclusive package is optional, so it's easy to enjoy other dining options) and the marina is even closer with more restaurant and shopping options. The rooms are more like apartments, with separate bedrooms and kitchenettes (missing only an oven). Our 3rd trip to Playa Grande - and we plan to return again.
15th year here for us and we appreciate the consistently wonderful customer service PG has. While it isn't the fanciest in town, it is always updated, friendly, clean with people who really want their guests to enjoy their stay in Cabo. We love that this is on the very tip of the Baja peninsula and Thunder Beach rolls all day and all night. It is extremely family friendly with Maya and her kids club (we missed you this time, Ms. Viti!!!), and many programs and activities for kids/families/both. However, if you want to be in a more serene environment, they have places down by the beach where it is more quiet and peaceful. Jordan and Victoria do a great job trying to get people motivated to do water aerobics, tequila volleyball, dance lessons, etc, but they are not pushy in any way and know you are there to relax. Victoria was super sweet to our son who was making a bracelet and learning some more Spanish while we were there. Roberto's crew is awesome - note: the balloon fight was a wonderful addition this year, guys! So much fun! They do their best to make you feel at home. Love that we can see both the pool area and a great expanse of the ocean from our balcony! So grateful!
Clean, excellent service and the entertainment staff is amazing. Roberto and Humberto are the best. Fiesta Mexicana and Beach Party events are a must. This is our 3rd year in a row here for our family vacation. We are looking forward to coming back.
The entertainment staff at Playa Grande is outstanding. The shows and Festivals/ Parties are great and they get everyone involved. Raberto, Umberto, Gabriella, Jordan , Selma and Victoria are so warm and friendly, they treat you like family . Great atmosphere. The staff is always there to help and offer assistance.
