How to Get There
Only down side was you cannot swim on the beach because the current on the side where the hotel is are very strong and people apparently have died swimming on that side. but other than that it was great
Hands down the best stay we’ve had in Cabo! Great staff, beautiful property, and worth every peso. The daily brunch buffet is awesome. Pro tip for those without a meal plan, start with brunch at Calima, eat and then take advantage of the bottomless mojitos and the bloody mary’s. As you leave they will make you another one to go. It’s a great way to start the day and also to avoid having to pay more for drinks poolside (at least for a while). The Mexican fiesta is worth it. We skipped the Beach party. Also, the property is split into two parts, the main pool/beach side and the Ridge. We stayed on the Ridge which give way to a beautiful view of the Cabo Harbor. It also gives you exclusive access to the Ridge-top pool and amenities. The pool has the only water slide on property. Enjoy!
The resort was great! Everything was in great shape, food was good and the views fantastic. Wish we could have walked in the ocean but totally understand the high and strong rip tides. We did all inclusive so we did not have to worry about anything (which is good). I'd do it again just for that purpose. I am not one that wants to worry or over think am I getting my money's worth and over eat/drink. It's more about not having to worry about cost if you don't have it.
Will for sure be going back to Cabo. May try one of the Solmar's other resorts in Cabo next time but would for sure stay again at the Play Grande.
We loved our days in Cabo! Amazing springbreak with family.Great resort, friendly staff and delicious weather! Hope to come back soon. Definitely would recommend! Roberto makes the parties a lot of fun.
Spent 2 nights in Playa Grande before moving to The Ridge. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. Our room in the "P" building was very close to the beach and the views from our terrace were breath taking. The coordination of our move from one property (actually adjoining) to the next was facilitated very smoothly by the staff. Service at Colima and Brigantine restaurants was on point. This is a beautifully maintained resort!
