Cabo Villas Vacation
Reviewed 4 days ago

Although this review is about the Cabo Villas, I would like to start it with three words: Uber, Uber, Uber. After being in Cabo for a few days and paying $20 for a round trip to Walmart, we met someone very knowledgeable about the area and we learned that Uber is available in Cabo. But the best part is, Uber is a quarter of the price for a taxi, which is probably why it’s not spoken about. Also, just a quick note, Uber is not allowed to pick you up at the airport but they are allowed to drop you off at the airport. They would have to pick you up away from the hotel because there are actually inspectors that make sure there are no Uber drivers picking you up to go back to the airport. A very easy fix, walk down the road a couple blocks and they’ll pick you up there. I’m really hoping some tourists find this revelation helpful; we saved a ton of money after we found this out.
Now onto the Cabo Villas. The location is perfect, your right on Medano beach which is great. Your within walking distance to at least 10 restaurants, water activities, shopping and massage. You’re a short walk to the marina but the area has lots of hills. I have physical restrictions on the walking I can do, hence the exciting Uber find! Just keep in mind, this is not a resort so make sure you realize that before arriving. This is a hotel that’s on the beach and has two pools. As you might have read, you can reserve a palapa at no cost for the following day so that’s a very nice perk. The beach was awesome. I love the vendors but it can get to be a lot after 4 to 5 hours. I do feel very bad for them though walking on that beach for 10+ hours a day in that heat with arm loads of goods.
The rooms are very standard, definitely at 3 stars tops. Now for anyone saying in these reviews that they do not hear the construction, you must be an owner and they have you in another tower (I think there’s only 2 – 3 towers onsite). We were in Room 208 and during the daytime we couldn’t keep our patio doors opened it was so loud. It seemed to all of us that were not owners and came in through Interval that we were relegated to the tower closest to the construction. But we lived with it, what can you do at that point.
This was our first time in Cabo and the weather was beautiful every single day! The two restaurants on the property; Baha Brewing Company and Aleata (sp) are just ok. Typical mid-level hotel food. I would like to give a shout out to Invita Bistro and La Chitata for our delicious dinners. Pan di Bacco was good also.
All in all it was a lovely trip. You don’t get the feeling from the hotel staff that they are overly eager to serve you like you do at other resorts. We met some great people and relaxed which is just what we needed. We will definitely be going back to Cabo within the next 6 months, we just won’t be staying at Cabo Villas.

You want the beach...here it is!

If you are looking for a location that has it all, Cabo Villas is it! A clean, affordable resort right in the Sea of Cortez. Beach area, pools, jacuzzis, a variety of rooms for all budgets. Bars, restaurants and amenities. The staff are friendly, efficient, and dedicated. An easy walk all around town and to the harbor area.

A week in paradise

The staff was amazing and so attentive and friendly! The grounds and room were stunning; we spent the days going back and forth between the pools and the beach, just steps away from each other! Hugo, the Activities Director, kept things fun and engaging, even for our kids, who were the only children there at the time of our visit. We can't wait to visit again!

LOCATION WINS

I stayed here with a group of people overall the experience was satisfactory.

1) Location, Location, Location! Perfect location. The heart of Medano Beach, near The Office and Mangos Deck. Great beach restaurants in the area.

2) Rooms: This is my 2nd visit, definitely improvement from the first visit. Rooms are updated and spacious.

3) Service: Checkin: The only issue I experienced is their clever approach to solicit a timeshare upon check in. The is a huge turn off, and it's tacky.

Beach and Restaurant: Good! The beach ambience is amazing! The food was excellent on the beach as well as Baja Brewing Rooftop. All of the beach employees were over accommodating.

Check out: We were charged for things we didn't authorize. The charges were removed upon request, about a week later, I was charged for other items that I did not authorize. My credit card company is dealing with the dispute.

5) Construction is still underway, which is definitely an eyesore. We didn't hear noice as other past guested described. Thankfully.

Excellent location and Food! But bad check in experiance

My 4oth bday started off rough checking in to this resort...they didn't have 1 of our reservations EVEN though we called a couple days ahead to Request to be next to each other....we had 2- 2 bedroom ocean view suites. SOO we had to stay in 1 room the first night and then we had to switch to another room for the rest of the trip. BUT everything else went well...Food and service was excellent!!
see u soon cabo!
