Overview

All-suite, adults-only all-inclusive at the southern tip of Baja California, steps away from both the beach and Cabo's famous nightlife scene

The Lowdown

Breathless has a prime spot on Medano Beach, a safe and—rare for Cabo—swimmable beach at the very southern tip of the peninsula. In addition to meals, snacks, and beverages (alcoholic and otherwise) being included in the room rate, there are plenty of other thoughtful extras like morning poolside yoga instruction, tequila tastings, and group activities that run the gamut from pole dancing lessons to giant Jenga games. All of the 169 rooms are spacious suites, and each has a large bathroom with double sinks, a complimentary mini-bar (refreshed daily), and its own furnished balcony with views of either the ocean or the nearby marina. The resort mostly draws guests in their 30s and 40s—down to party, but not raging like the college set that heads to Cabo for spring break— hence the “quiet” pool, which is chilled out and DJ-free. There are 12 restaurants and bars, including poolside and beachside bars, although drinks at some, like the sophisticated tequila bar La Biblioteca, aren’t included in the room rate (we’d suggest splurging on them anyway).

In the Area

With swimmable Medano Beach directly in front of the hotel and the town immediately behind it, there’s no lack of things to keep you busy. Stroll down the boardwalk, which is crowded with bars, restaurants, and shops, or work off the effect of all those margaritas with parasailing, scuba diving, zip lining or flyboarding excursions, all of which can be booked through the hotel. Party spots like Cabo Wabo Cantina and The Nowhere Bar (and many, many more) are walking distance from Breathless. Shoppers can head to Puerto Paraiso, a massive mall half a mile away, to restock their supplies of flip-flops and bikinis.

Had a very pleasant stay......All the staff were friendly and very helpful! My Favorite bartender in the Exhale Club Luis took very good care of us! Drinks were perfect every time! We rented the daybed at the pool at the beach club came with bottle service Daniel Sanchez catered to us poolside all day. This resort is highly recommended for a Great getaway, very close to downtown and the arch! The beach the marina all in arms reach. Food was also great! The omelette station guy was on point at spoons.

Breathless Cabo San Lucas Delivers!

My husband and I had a blast in Cabo and the main reason was the awesome service at Breathless! The resort was clean, extremely well maintained and had great views from everywhere on the property. But the best part about the resort was the people who worked there. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Shout out to Blanca and Carlos who always greeted us with a smile at "Bites!" Javier who ran many of the activities was full of energy and laughter! Christian at "Spumante"was an awesome server and so were Esteban and Yaneth (Janet) at "Ocote." Thank you to everyone...wish I had all their names! If we ever decide to move to Cabo and open a business, we know where to come to recruit employees!!

For Management, here are couple of suggestions for improvement: (1) make sure landscape on the room balconies are watered and cared for. Dying plants don't make for a good look. (2) Please tell your DJ's that if there are only a few people dancing, it is customary to ask them what they would like to hear or take their requests seriously. Remind them that the music they play is for those listening and/or dancing, not for the DJ them self.

Great job Breathless! If we come back to Cabo, we will definitely stay with you!!

Day Pass for the Win!

We did not stay at this hotel, but we bought a day pass to enjoy the pool for a day, and it was well worth it. It was $105 per person, and was from 9am to 7pm, and gave us access to the infinity pool overlooking the beach. The view is amazing and you can see the beach, the area by the arch (you can't quite see the actual arch from this angle) and the marina. The day pass was all inclusive, so we were able to get breakfast and lunch from the buffet, which were both well stocked with good quality food and drinks. Also, the drinks poolside were very good, and the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and got your drinks quickly. You could also order some food poolside. I would recommend the frozen mango margaritas and the to go chicken fingers were really good as well.

We were there all day, and the whole staff was amazing, but unfortunately, I don;t remember everyone's names. One of the servers, Daniel, went above and beyond, and was happy to assist us with getting drinks, and also arranged a BBQ lunch for us which was really good! If you go here, make sure to find him and he will hook you up, even though it's all inclusive, it's nice to have someone who goes out of his way to take care of you! Brenda with the entertainment team was also really fun and nice, and led some very fun activities that we enjoyed very much.

I don't drink very much, and booking an all inclusive resort for a week seemed like overkill, so buying the day pass was perfect, so we could enjoy the all inclusive for a day or two and not have to worry about wasting money if we were eating or drinking all day. If you are ready to drink every day, then this seems like a really nice resort to stay at too. Location is prefect, right by the beach and the marina.
