How to Get There
Amazing hotel. Very clean, hygenic and spacious rooms with plenty of storage space. The staff were very helpful at all times we contacted them. The hotel itself is in a great location, plenty of food places nearby, and just a 10 min drive to the nearest train station from where you can get trains to Manhattan.
My husband, 4 year old daughter & I stopped here for 7 nights and had no complaints. Definitely recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, service and location alone.
Our son was married this past Saturday. We had set up for a block of rooms at the Viana. Fantastic choice. It may be a little pricier then other chain hotels but well worth it. Erin helped us from the beginning with any of the smallest questions we had. We were able to check in early as they had our suite ready. Spacious, clean and very accommodating. I would say the only negative is the fridge is a little small. We were trying to put champagne bottles for the limo in there and it was not easy. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and helpful. My wife had her makeup done in the morning and looked beautiful. We had a breakfast for everyone from the wedding on Sunday morning. We were a little short in our estimate of the people attending. They did not blink an eye, just kept cleaning tables as some people left and new friends entered. And they kept bringing the food out so everyone was satisfied. Then there was Joe, the bell person. He made the hotel for me. He was there every time I turned around and asked if we needed help or what he could do for us. He set up the coolers of water for the busses for us, he brought our luggage up and down, and he did this for everyone at the hotel which was booked solid so I have no idea how he kept up. This guy was just incredible. Can’t wait to stay here again next time we are in town. Thanks Erin, Joe and the other Viana staff for making our sons wedding awesome.
Staying here, not a manager to be found, and kicked us out for having a glass of wine in the lobby. Threatened us with the police several times, for no reason, other than us asking to see the Policy for the reason they were justifying it. Allegedly, the GM was watching on the security cameras, and we asked to speak to managers several times, and finally got him on the phone (Takir) and he would not stop interrupting us as we were asking to please show us the policy we were violating. He interrupted us so badly and wouldn’t listen to any conversation. At all. It’s 8:30 on a Friday night. Not like we were drunk, rowdy, or belligerent. We Sitting in the lobby with my husband, father-in-law law and mother in-law. At 8:30pm with no one else around us. No complaints. No anything. Told various reasons as to why, none of which could be substantiated with policy. But apparently after paying big money to stay here 2 nights, you can’t have a glass of wine in the lobby in the ONLY sitting area in whole hotel that isn’t in the bar. Where it would have been an issue to sit I agree. I travel all over the country and out of it, and have never been treated so terribly at a hotel. I would recommend anywhere but here. And to top it off at the end, the bar girl carried down a dusty sign, from somewhere in the restaurant, and placed it in the lobby about no outside food and drink. Then tried to point it out as if it had been there the whole time when we watched them move it. So I hope they make me move when I have my coffee and donut in the morning. Because if not, I will certainly have more to say about it and the discrimination thereafter.
