Thirteen interconnecting Georgian townhouses that put you within strolling distance of London’s best bits
Sandwiched between Hyde Park and Green Park, and steps from Mayfair’s high-end boutiques and boozers, this 129-room hotel is traditional and quirky in equal measure. Dating from 1730, thirteen interconnecting townhouses were converted into a hotel in 1851, and this charming boutique sits on a quintessential London street complete with wrought iron street lamps. Inside, you'll find a funky cocktail bar, afternoon tea rooms and a stylish restaurant. Flock wallpaper, brightly hued walls, Murano glass chandeliers and scented candles provide a warm welcome and an intimate vibe.
Bed & Bath
Guest rooms vary, but all have a distinctive Flemmings feel. Classic Doubles are petite, at around 229 square feet, and feature a work desk. Executive Doubles offer a little more lounge room, and in the apartments you can make believe you’re a Mayfair resident, cooking up a storm in your very own kitchen. Some of the bathrooms are on the small side, but most feature both a tub and shower, and the products are courtesy of luxury British brands.
The on-site restaurant, Flemings Grill, is tucked away in the dark, sultry basement, where seasonal British ingredients feature heavily on the menu. For lighter bites head to the the Drawing Room which pays homage to the hotel's 18th century origins. Here you'll find traditional champagne or chocoholic afternoon teas, hosted in partnership with the East India Tea Company. There’s no spa, but the hotel has a partnership with the Michael John Salon and Spa nearby, and there's a small gym equipped with all the necessary fitness gadgets, including a Power plate.
