19th century tradition with celeb appeal in the posh heart of Mayfair
Claridge’s is both one of London’s most storied hotels—dating from the 1850s—and one of its most of-the-moment hotels. It found its identity in the 1920s and 30s, and is still an Art Deco jewel, even as it’s evolved and become an urban playground for the likes of celebs like Kate Moss and Jade Jagger. The glamorous, individually designed rooms and suites are some of the largest in London, with marble bathrooms, top-line entertainment systems and lush Bamford Natural and Organic toiletries. The spa is a haven on the top floor, with Sisley facials and a well-equipped gym.
In the Area
Mayfair is one of London’s most exclusive districts, filled with independent boutiques and stylish watering holes. It’s also close to the famous shopping on Bond Street and Knightsbridge's temples to consumption, Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Guests can amuse themselves by strolling in Hyde Park or dining at other haute spots in the neighborhood, like Koffman’s at the Berkeley.
