Amazing!

Absolutely love this hotel! Besides having a lovely, helpful staff, itks full of antiquites and other treasures. The room had a big, good bed, bath with both tub and shower, and a small kitcen. Free bottle water every day and breakfast in the room.
Great location, only 10 min walk to the Dome. Bus stop outside.

Luxury You Can Afford

An absolute perfect stay from beginning to end. The hotel is a charmingly renovated building in the center of Milan. The decor is a grand Old World style that perfectly compliments the building style and each room is individually decorated. The lobby is more akin to an elegant drawing room and the courtyard also gives the feel of a private residence rather than a hotel.
I had the pleasure of staying in suite 19 on the top floor. The room was huge , even by American hotel standards. The bath room had a jetted tub along with a bidet. There was a dining area as well as a kitchenette in the room. A very comfortable queen size bed near a fireplace and a private terrace off the bedroom were the icing on the cake. It made my seven night stay in Milan so relaxing.
The staff is beyond polite. They are courteous and friendly (the one gentleman on the front desk I had the pleasure of speaking to for hours and he gave me wonderful recommendations for Milans dining scene and the history of the hotel and a great rate on my return stay) and take real concern for the care of their guests. Don't misunderstand, this's not the Four Seasons (there is no restaurant, no gym, no spa, etc.) but it is the best boutique hotel I've ever stayed in and what it lacks in certain amenities it more than makes up for in elegance, charm, style, size, location, and small touches (the best being the breakfast that is served to you in your room every morning). If staying in Milan you could not to better for the price! I will definitely be back.

Staff that strives to be helpful and good location, but a few minor issues
Reviewed 2 months ago

We only had the opportunity to stay in this hotel for one night (in room six), so we would likely have discussed our minor issues with the staff more proactively had we stayed longer. The positive attributes are the location, the staff that truly strives to be helpful and the size of the rooms. It was nice to have a little kitchen and the bedroom was large compared to other hotel rooms in Italy. The staff really did try to help and was quite friendly when we did have questions or needed to make changes to our breakfast time. In fact, the bellman arrived early to ensure we had breakfast in our room before we had to leave for our flight, which demonstrated the commitment to the guests. The minor issues are fixable. Our A/C was not functioning in the bedroom well at all, but did seem to work in our little kitchen. The satellite (or cable?) TV rarely worked and would cut in and out, making the TV practically unusable. We were not able to locate an English-language channel, but that could have been related to the satellite or cable not connecting well. Lastly, the shower was smaller than a phone booth and my husband is six feet tall, which made it almost impossible for him to get a great shower. The water did not get warm until late in both of our showers, so there may be a hot water issue. We appreciated the extra efforts by the staff when we did speak with them, but were not able to fully address our concerns due to the brief length of our stay.

Great Hotel, good location

We stayed here for two nights at the end of october. The staff was really friendly and the offered a very good service. Some small errors occured due to the different languages (wrongly translated on the website), they immediately fixed this issue without hesitation.

The hotel itself is really beautiful, decorated with a lot of taste and eye for detail. The history of this place speaks to mind.

We would stay here again.

Footnote: be aware of theft, keep your valuables in the safe whenever you leave your room!

Good location, 10 minutes walk from the Duomo.

I think this hotel is good value, but it is in need of a little freshening up. (My room could really use some paint, the sheers on the windows could use washing, the WiFi was slow…) Having said that, the staff were all lovely and very helpful; the breakfast was very ample and served in a nice room downstairs; the windows in my room were double (triple?) glazed and my room was very quiet. The bathroom was a good size. I saw in the guest book that a lot of people are repeat visitors, and that says a lot.
