How to Get There
Breakfast was amazing! You’re sacrificing location, it is even further from the city but I thought the staff at this hotel were a bit more special than Hilton Milan. The bartender was nice- diamond members get a choice of sparkling wine or orange juice voucher. The room itself was small and old, didn’t love the bathroom either but they did leave a razor, mouthwash and the essentials which I really appreciated.
Very nice hotel, it is not centric but with access to public transportation that works like a charm, the tram is a block away from the hotel and costs €1.50 per trip, the staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is located about 20 minutes away from the city center; we were mainly spending our time in the tourist and the nearby shopping area. We used to go by tram to the city center, and come back by taxi that charges around €13 under normal circumstances, we encountered a strike which made the commute longer due to closing of certain roads, the driver let us know that it will be more expensive than usual, which we did not mind, we were just glad to be able to leave from that chaos and at the end we paid €26 with tip included.
My wife and I will definitively stay there in our next trip to Milan.
The staff are very friendly, specially the bar man. The room was clean and comfortable. Interestingly they offer free coffee and tea, but there is no kettle to boil the water. There is also no hair dryer in the room.
Stayed here on the tail end of a business trip with my wife. The hotel was very welcoming, rooms good sized, clean, and plenty of amenities. Staff was very welcoming and helpful with hotel amenities and booking taxi service to MXP airport.
The BEST part of this hotel was our bartender, Andrea Stratella. He is is more than a bartender - he is an expert mixologist with excellent customer service and care. He made us the BEST drinks either of us have had in our lives. Ever. The best part is that most of them were made up on the spot from us just telling him flavors that we liked. I don’t even know what to call the drinks because they were new creations almost each time. Drinks will never be the same for us. I wish I had the recipes and proportions. Andrea is truly an asset to this hotel!!
If the hotel management reads this, I hope that you give Andrea a sincere thank you and commendation for making our short stay in Milan unforgettable. We will remember that night and our expert mixologist for the rest of our lives.
This is a very nice Doubletree. The rooms are clean and comfy and the breakfast is excellent. It’s fairly easy to get to from the center if you know your way around, but a bit difficult if you’re a first time visitor to Milano. If you have business in that part of town or don’t mind spending a half hour to get to the center it’s a good choice. If you’re in town to see the sights, then someplace more central would be more convenient
