Middle of nowhere

So industrial, ran out of coffee at breakfast. It is inconvenient to downtown or docks. It is clean and cool, charmless. Worse Sheraton I have ever seen, sterile lobby. No help with bags. It is quiet though. It is in no way like you are in Italy. Walk a long way for restaurants or dock.

Hotel is a 40 minute walk from Como city center. The rooms were clean & beds very comfortable. Aurelia at the front desk was outstanding!! She help us multiple times with restaurant suggestions & can rides. We really enjoyed our stay!

Phenomenal pool

Staff were nice. Pool was gorgeous. Stayed here for our honeymoon. Be sure to visit L'ancora pizzeria down the street. It was so good we went two days in a row. Really enjoyed Lake Como. The Sheraton was great!

Lovely hotel close to lake transport

This hotel is a little out of the main centre but only a 5 minute walk to ferries so we rather enjoyed the quieter more isolated feel.
rooms had a nice view though not through to the lake.
We were not overly impressed with the restaurant menus so chose to eat in town during the day again due to off season not all restaurants were open.
Lovely renovated room with a good sized bathroom and good amenities.
Staff were welcoming. We had club benefits and were a little surprised being used to club lounges throughout Asia this seemed understaffed and we were a little underwhelmed. Having said that it was nice way to have some quiet drinks and nibbles in the evening though the food selection was poor compared to what we are used to.
We had breakfast in the main restaurant and this was very good with plentiful choice and fresh egg cooking station.
One particular staff member Elisa, worth noting she was very much on the ball with service, filling buffet and generally keeping an eye on guests.
A comfortable stay.

Lovely views

Whilst the hotel looks like a typical Sheraton, the interior is fresh and classic. A Platinum Elite Member, I expected a warmer, quicker check in, but, in using a suite award, had a lovely room overlooking the majestic scenery of Lake Como for the first night. Very comfortable bed and linens. Nice patio. The Club lounge was very quiet and offers little variety of food and drink. Cernobbio is a short distance away, and we found out too late that the ferrry at Tavernola would have taken us there. ( a local taxi ripped us off, as we found to our cost). We would recommend Gardinos Pizzeria for evening dining, as the restaurant recommended by the hotel, proved pricey with poor service. Breakfast at Gusto was fine. A special mention to Eleonara at reception, as, on subsequent visits, she was most professsional, charming and efficient at check out. A great ambassador for Starwood. A visit to Como and Bellagio is a must.
