Very convenient. Nicer than expected.

Great breakfast, nice bar. Excellent restaurant (the kitchen ) that seems to be associated w hotel. Our view were not great- some sort of recycling facility (I think). But I’d stay again assuming price is right. Right next to a nice supermarket as well. Rooms are a bit standard but are ultilitarian.

Nice stay in Lake Como

I was part of a Viking cruise group that enjoyed 3 days in Lake Como before the cruise. We arrived early in the day (always happens when coming from the US) and had to wait for several hours to get into our rooms (not unexpected). Once in the room was pleased with the accommodation. we went immediately to the bar/restaurant to grab a bite to eat. We dropped in to the pool restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff. We stayed there for several hours (there were 8 of us traveling together). Food was good and beer was cold. Our wine drinkers liked their wine, too. The hotel room was typical and the bed was excellent. Best rest I had in several months. Breakfast was included and offered everything. Meats of all sorts, eggs cooked to order, cheeses and breads and waffles. Quite a spread. All-in-all a great stay. Check out was a breeze. I would recommend the Sheraton, Lake Como, to any weary traveler. Excellent.

Good hotel

We were with a tour and they booked this facility. Not sure I would have picked it if I were traveling on my own but it was just fine. The facility was nice, rooms fine, good bathroom, staff helpful and pleasant, big breakfast buffet and a nice outdoor restaurant by the pool with heaters at night, or an upscale restaurant called Kitchen, and a restaurant in the hotel, and a nice bar. There was a big new grocery store next door. Quick walk to the ferry to take you to Como or the nearby town (or a 10-15 min. walk) with restaurants. Know that it doesn't have a view but it is an American hotel which offers some predictability.

Reasonably good but overpriced

Fairly typical Sheridan hotel. The bar and restaurant was good. No particular complaints. I was in room 115 which was very unimpressive. Open the windows and look out into a completely solid hedge. No view besides leaves. To their credit they were all green. This place is fairly accessible to town but to get to Cuomo you’re probably best get a taxi or the water taxi. It’s about an hour walk.

Had some minor request of the front desk they turned them both down. One day I asked for the hotel shuttle to Milan and was given a one price the next day and increase by €30. Unhappy

The new this is Spagetti Carbonara as starter: heavenly

Not lake side but good hotel
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Sheraton is only a short 10 min ferry ride from Como. Convenient. It’s not lake side which is something we later regretted. The Hotel is nice and well maintained. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. All of them spoke English and some Spanish. The rooms are large and very cozy. Beds are large and very comfortable. We had a suite with a terrace overlooking the pool. Lovely. The breakfast is a buffet with just about everything from fresh fruit, yogurts, pancakes, sweet breads, fresh baked bread, eggs, bacon, coffee etc etc. Just about everything you can think of. I enjoyed it. What did happened to me on more than one occasion was that my plate was picked up before I finished. I stood up to get coffee and came back to find a clean table. Staff is very helpful and fast at work. I would recommend more observation so they don’t pick up unfinished plates from the table. Now what I really really didn’t like are the two following things. 1) House keeping knocks on the door and opens it in less than 1.5 seconds without any consideration for the guests. I was changing and heard the knock the first time and before I could say anything she simply just opened the door. She saw that I was changing and just closed it. This happend more than four times. I talked to management and received and apology. Still I find this to be very very unprofessional. The hotel has the master keys everyone knows that but it doesn’t give you the right to use them incorrectly. Privacy and respect is vital for me !!!! My recommendation to guest is “if you don’t want people walking in your room than simply put the don’t disturb sign “ . Unfortunately this didn’t just happen with House keeping. Twice (on top of the other four) a lady came in after a similar knock offering gifts for “the wedding”. That time I did get angry and express it. I wasn’t part of any wedding and even If I was “please knock and wait for an answer, do not open the door”. 2) While we stayed in the Sheraton they hosted a Wedding and it seemed that every other guest was just secondary. The service changed and even moved the breakfast area to a smaller area and it all just made me feel like I was no longer a valuable guest. The walking into the rooms without permission just did it for me. I’m not returning.
