Discover the historic city of Nantes with a contemporary stay at a four-star, centrally situated hotel. Seven Urban Suites is located in the midst of Nantes’ vibrant business district, just a stone’s throw from the historic centre. Its strategic location affords excellent connections with the city’s public transport system, which, incidentally, was the first of its kind in the world.
Seven Urban Suites offers comfortable and modern rooms, and an onsite spa and Jacuzzi. Outside, you’re perfectly placed to discover the city’s historic sites, with the castle of Château des Ducs de Bretagne (the former centre of the historic province of Brittany) a kilometer away. Wander a half an hour along the banks of the River Loire to discover Nantes’ trump card, the towering, dream-like elephant, known officially at the Machines of the Isle of Nantes (Les Machines de l’île). Come evening, sample local cuisine in one of the many bistros and brasseries that pepper the city. The hotel garnered a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014.
How to Get There
The room was more than I expected - it had a small kitchen set up which was great even though I ended up not using it. Breakfast was good and I liked that it was served at 6:30 during the week (7 on weekends) because I like to be out and about by 8:30 at the latest.
The only thing I did not like was that the location meant walking through what I think was a business district because in the evenings and night there was no one around. It was only a short distance, but i prefer when walking alone to have many people around me. There is one of the city rental bike places right next to the hotel, so this was good too.
For a straight forward business hotel the Urban Suites is spot on! The rooms were very clean, spacious and had a modern hotel feel. The ensuite too was well appointed. The free wifi was reliable and good for working into the evening. The breakfast room is relatively small, has all the basics but I would say not worth the fee charged when there are nice bakeries open nearby. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Nantes so pretty handy! Would stay there again!
A hotel with very large garage, not very difficult to find. The room was huge, the equipment really good, very comfortable matrass, the breakfast very nice, the personnel friendly and attentive - the hotel does not offer dinner (though they provide box food of your choice). As said, for business really fine, for family not the place to be
