If you’re looking for a cultural fix in the Portuguese capital, look no further than this four-star designer sleep, boasting a super-central location. It’s set just steps from the high-end fashion stores and trendy bars of the Champs Elysées-inspired Avenida da Liberdade, which means that as a guest, you’re also minutes from the fabled mix of ancient sites and modern wonders that make the city of Lisbon so magical. Vincci Liberdade itself is also a stylish destination, opened just last year, and set in a converted historic building.
Each of the rooms is sleek, yet welcoming, jazzed up with soft blue and yellow hues, creative lighting and all the creature comforts you’re likely to need. Elsewhere, there’s plenty to lure you back after long days spent shopping, sightseeing and museum hopping. Relax with a cocktail or two on the hotel’s lovely terrace patio, order snacks from the bar, and hit the flagship à la carte restaurant, ÁGUA’, for classic Portuguese and Mediterranean gourmet cuisine that’s been given a contemporary twist of its own.
You’ll find a careful attention to detail in the 82 new guest rooms, all of which are sleek and glamorous. With all the fancy flourishes you’d expect at a four-star, the well-sized Standard Double room has a double bed, a flat-screen satellite TV, a swanky bathroom with a bathtub and bath amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi and plenty of mod cons. Most rooms come with a pretty balcony that overlooks the city.
Foodies will adore the flagship à la carte restaurant, ÁGUA’, for its top-notch Portuguese and Mediterranean cuisine, created with traditional, fresh and locally sourced ingredients. There are also a café-bar for coffee and cocktails, as well as a lovely terrace patio that’s perfect for relaxing with a glass or two of regional wine. Room service is available, too.
Just steps from Avenida da Liberdade, the hotel is smack-bang in the heart of the Portuguese capital. Must-dos include spending time at Berado Museum, with one of the world’s most acclaimed collections of modern art; taking the wrought-iron Santa Justa lift for incredible views of the skyline; climbing the Castle of São Jorge; strolling through Alfama; and visiting Terreiro do Paço – the largest and most iconic square in the city. We also recommend taking a tram ride, shopping your heart out in the elegant Chiado district and checking out iconic pieces from Phillipe Starck, Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Paul Gaultier at the Design and Fashion Museum (also known as MUDE).
How to Get There
The Vincci Liberdade was top rate. Very modern rooms with an nespresso coffee machine in each room. The staff spoke English well and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was amazing and had the best service in our entire trip. The Vincci is just one block off the Liberdade Avenue and steps from all the best sights. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel!
The hotel is located in an upmarket part of Lisbon, in a fairly quiet road. The rooms were very modern, well kept, and very clean. Lovely, generous breakfast, and fantastic staff who seemed genuinely happy to look after you. Rarely do we say this about a hotel, but we honestly couldn't fault it.
the hotel met our expectation, the staff was very friendly and helpful, amenities were good and the hotel was spotless. The most we enjoyed was the location because it was central, but same time it was quiet that we can have good night sleep. Only negative was price/night, we thought that for the price that we paid breakfast should be included. There was small supermarket near that was handy.
Beautiful and minimalist/modern hotel. Nice and very roomy rooms.
Very quiet and nice location but yet very close to everywhere by walking or by taxi or by Lisbon tuktuk. The hotel staff are very helpful and nice. Highly recommended either for family holiday or business stay in Lisbon
Great hotel, amazing staff and very clean. The hotel is at the top of Liberdade, so if you spend more time down the avenue then it is a fair walk each time. But Lisbon is amazing to walk so not an issue for
The garden area is nice but lacks atmosphere.
Normally stay at other hotels but would stay here again.
