Very well located if small hotel
Reviewed 1 week ago

Firstly, the location is excellent. There are two metro lines within a five minutes walk, and the station for trains to Sintra is within five minutes as well. The coast is probably within ten minutes and the Biaxa district is ten minutes behind the hotel.

The main thing to note about the hotel is that it is small. The reception area is modest - can only fit two people, standing together - and everything else is a stairway or lift journey away. The breakfast area is small too and is managed by two people - if they are busy, you may have to wait a while for a clean table. The rooms - the regular ones - are a bit pokey, and at least one side of the bed requires you to shuffle along carefully past the mirror/TV to get to your side. But everything is clean, and everyone you meet is friendly.

To be honest, the main selling point is the location - if you don't need masses of space then it's a great place to discover the rest of Lisbon. If you need even a modicum of space though then you may mind this hotel a bit lacking.

Friendliest Front Desk Staff

The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to transport, good restaurants & tourist attractions.
We were disappointed to miss a night & day in Lisbon due to airline re-routing, the hotel kindly included breakfast for our other 2 days.
The room was very comfortable, quiet & was very well appointed. Good bathroom facilities.
All the front desk staff were friendly, helpful with tourist attractions, local transport options & fantastic suggestions for local restaurants & tapas... (& Portuguese tarts😋). Each one always had a smile for you. Awesome service!
The buffet breakfast has a good selection of foods.
We would recommend this lovely hotel if visiting Lisbon.

The only disappointment was on our last evening we dined in the hotel restaurant where the food is of a very good quality, taste & presentation. The account showed 4 glasses of wine when we only consumed 3. The waitress wouldn’t believe only 3 were given. We paid for 4 as we had to leave to catch our taxi. The restaurant staff were not up to the same high standard of the other staff in the hotel.

Perfect Location

We stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I mentioned this in a note when I booked, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade and a romantic welcome surprise in our room.
The location was superb, smack in the middle of everything and a few blocks away from the promenade.

Outstanding small hotel in a great location

The staff and facilities were first rate. Small but very well equipped rooms. Would return in a heartbeat. Concierge services were very helpful. We choose this hotel based on Rick Steve's recommendation and while I use his choices only on occasion, this one was a good choice.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way to take care of you and fix any issues that might come up.

The location is perfect as well. It makes navigating the city easy.

Highly recommended.
