How to Get There
We just spent three nights at the My Story Hotel Rossio. It was our first trip to Lisbon and the hotel was perfectly located for everything. We took the metro from the airport to Rossio Metro - it was then an easy walk with our luggage across the square to the hotel. We walked up to the nightlife area (Bairro Alto) and beyond to Principe Real, and we took the tram to Belem for breakfast pastries and a boat cruise (the tram line starts at a point about 3 mins walk from the hotel). A really great location. Friendly, professional staff. I'd highly recommend a room with a view of the Praca if you can afford to splurge. We had number 303. A big thank you to Leonel and all the wonderful staff there. Obrigago!
My Story Rossio was in a perfect location. Rooms are tiny, however. But have everything needed! Breakfast was quite good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Lobby is tiny!
Meeting taxi or Uber a bit of a problem.
Prices are competitive. Something about the place is right!!
Despite my reservations, it still deserves highest ratings, since it delivers what it does so well!!
Will stay again!
Everything was very nice with this relatively small hotel. Centrally located, nice view onto a square. Nice bedroom, nice bathroom, nice common areas and a very friendly and helpful staff. I wish to return there next time in Lisbon.
We stayed here for a three night city break. We were welcomed at reception by a young lady who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
The rooms and bathrooms are not enormous but very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. In addition to everything else there is a smartphone provided for guests use in every room. It has access to internet and many apps, plus a 30 minute calling credit per day. Fantastic idea!
Breakfast was plentiful, with hot cooked food option.
On the first night we decided to give the restaurant a try, despite mixed reviews, the food was delicious, our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine he served.
The location is brilliant, 5 minutes walk to the metro and the railway station. Given the location with a road behind and the square to the front the double glazing works a treat, so a great nights sleep was had.
One word of warning, plan to return to Lisbon. There are so many beautiful attractions to visit, far too many for one short stay.
First time in Lisbon and picked this hotel based on its proximity to Rossio square and being in the center of it all. Was a great pick. Rooms were good very much a boutique look and feel. Nice touches like back lit head boards. A tv that was inset into a floor to ceiling mirror. Cool light fixtures. Staff very helpful in helping us get around and pointing to places to go to meet up for tours. Would definitely come back. Had heard great things about Lisbon and was not disappointed. Another wonderful, charming European city.
