How to Get There
Lovely little hotel with excellent service. Just around the corner from the most desireable cafes, bars and restaurants. Helpful with parking, arranging tours etc. Loved the fresh fruit bowl in the lobby.
We were very happy with our choice of the Carmo Hotel! The location, decor and most especially the staff are outstanding- A special shoutout to Sandro for his hospitality! The breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable and the Fado show was excellent!
Highly recommend this hotel!
We had three nights at the Lisboa Carmo for a city break and would thoroughly recommend it as a base. It's set on the corner of a historic square with fabulous restaurants and bars within a stone's throw, and a sort walk from the metro and tram systems. The staff were unfailingly helpful with all our enquiries and the room was spacious and comfortable with a small balcony looking out to the castle and the narrow streets that surround the hotel. It has a local rather than a cosmopolitan feel which was exactly what we were seeking but travellers looking for the kind of experience provided by the big international chains might want to research other options. We choose to walk and use public transport on trips like this and hence the location and district were ideal: travellers that prefer car hire should note that the Lisboa Carmo is surrounded by narrow streets and is set on one of the many hills that are a feature of Lisbon - navigation and parking might therefore present some interesting challenges
