How to Get There
Easily accessed from the metro, this hotel is perfectly located for central attractions. Compact but very clean and quiet room. Helpful staff. Breakfast room was a bit cramped but friendly staff made it work. Will definitely return. Ideal for long weekend, but probably rooms too small for a longer stay.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Baixa district but the entrance wasn't easy to spot. From the hotel it was easy to access the main tourist spots and some of the less busy areas. We were given a warm welcome and service throughout our 2-day stay was superb. The staff even supplied a surprise gift for my wife's birthday.
Food in the adjoining Taberna was very good - lunch, dinner and breakfast, the latter with delicious cakes. We enjoyed an upgraded package but our room, despite having a small balcony, was tiny and the bathroom so much so that it was difficult to use. As such we were also unable to use the bathrobes and slippers supplied as extras. Typical city centre hotel I guess but very clean. There was noisy ongoing building work when we stayed which started up at sunrise even on Saturday but the double glazing was enough to shut this out. Room had aircon but it was largely ineffective. Nevertheless with outside temps in the 30s it wasn't too uncomfortable inside.
Overall a great hotel for a short stay.
The hotel couldn’t have been in a better location to enjoy the best of Lisbon. Sadly, we were only there for 2 nights but would definitely return to this hotel if we get back to Lisbon. Coming from Canada, our flight got into Lisbon early in the morning so our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Filipe at the front desk gave us a fabulous recommendation for breakfast. He and the other front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although small (pretty normal for European hotels in large cities), our room was laid out efficiently with a lovely alcove leading to a balcony. Everything was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Lovely bathroom...only wish there was a vent to remove steam after a shower.
Being in the Baixa, there are no hills to climb to get to the hotel. It’s a short walk to 2 Metro stations, Rossio Square, stops to get on various trams, the Santa Justa Elevator, the Bairro Alto and Chiado neighbourhoods, and so much more. It’s also not on a very busy street so our room was extremely quiet.
