Fantastic family trip
Reviewed 1 day ago

We visited this resort for eight nights with our two babies. We had a one bed apartment. First of all the apartment was lovely and spacious and it has a lovely patio area leading onto the grass. I saw some over people complain that this area was noisy due to cars. We did not find this to be an issue at all. The apartment was perfect for our needs with one baby crawling and another four months old. The bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast was in a lovely bright room. This was possibly the highlight of our 18 month old son, Maxs day, as he was made feel like a very important person by all the wonderful, warm breakfast staff. We had the Porridge every morning which I adored. We had an omelette a few times which was also delish as was the fresh Oj.aside from that it seemed to be quite a typical continental breakfast offering. We didn't eat in the hotel aside from breakfast. I am delighted though as had it included in the price.

The pool area is very nicely appointed and surrounded by fabulous grounds. There was never any problem with securing a sun bed. There was also shaded areas which was good with the kids.

I got a massage from Sofia in their spa, which was possibly the best massage I have ever had.

You csn hire out bikes or cars on site as there is a car hire office located in the resort car park. We hired bikes there. It was probably much more expensive than normal but it was super convenient.

Sean went running with the GM on the 'run with GM' morning. He throughly enjoyed it and had a new found interest in the resort and area afterwards. He kindly let me join a staff yoga class which I really enjoyed. It would be great if the resort was to offer some fitness classes to residents. Staff were so lovely, warm and helpful. Clearly this is coming straight from the top down as the GM was fabulous and really seemed to promote a very positive working environment.

I would definitely recommend staying here with a young family.

Lovely grounds and hotel, pity about the complete lack of plastic recycling - Please cut down on plastic!!!!

The good:
The room, pillows and bed were really comfortable.
For the most part breakfast was lovely apart from the really runny and milky scrambled eggs.
Hotel lobby, flowers, restaurant and pool area were all very stylish and well appointed.

The bad:
Plastic, plastic and more plastic - why???
No recycling bins in the room - in all other Sheratons I've been in you have a general bin and a recycling bin.
The pool area gave a plastic straw and a plastic branded sheraton mixer stick with each drink - complete overkill.
Plastic cutlery at the pool bar only for some odd reason.
Plastic sauce holders for ketchup, mayonnaise etc. In any other Sheraton I've stayed in you get glass jars for these.

Excellent staff, beautiful property, broken jacuzzi hot tub, and 1 big lie

This property is spectacular. Trendy, modern, and clean. The staff and service were impeccable. We rented the panoramic suite which comes with a full kitchen, in-room washing machine, dishwasher, wrap around patio, and private jacuzzi hot tub.

Unfortunately, the jacuzzi hot tub never worked properly. We had maintenance to the room 3 separate times but they could never get it to heat properly; thus, we were never able to use it, which was a big disappointment for us.

After lodging a complaint with front desk staff at check out and asking for a rate reduction on the room, I was told the hotel manager would be in contact with me.... but that didn't happen. I have emailed twice in the days after we left, and still have no reply.

This experience spoiled an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel for peace seekers, location is around 10 min. Drive from cascáis city center. Peaceful and nice athosphere and nice pool area. Unfortunately the weather was not that good during our visit. Breakfast was good and also there were nice restaurant for family dinner. The gym and spa was also worth visiting. Nice experience but not special.

Flawed but has potential

We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was very large and nicely appointed. The floors were kind of industrial, but the bathroom and kitchen were nice, and the towels, bed, and sheets were very nice.

The staff did not stack up as well, being deceptive about how full was the hotel (pertaining to upgrade availability). The breakfast had high and low points. The breads, pastries, etc, were amazing. The eggs and bacon were disgusting. The eggs were poured from some sort of mix in a carton. When I picked up my fried eggs, I could hold them vertical and they were firm and stood upright. It was rubbery like a frisbee. The bacon was like salty shoe leather. Eat the pastries and drink the very good coffee and you’ll be fine.
