How to Get There
Hotel is very nicely surrounded by the trees, so you don’t have a feeling that you’re in the hotel. Nice breakfasts, well equipped gym, good kids area. Bicycles are available for rent, parking is free. Overall staff is very friendly. We were not lucky with the weather, so water in the pool was cold, and indoor pool is quite small.
We stayed at the Sheraton cascais for 7 nights. This is a great hotel but let's itself down in the small things. Like offering a free shuttle into the town and when I asked to book it, saying it was full. I went down to reception with my 3 year old child and he pointed out the shuttle bus was there. It wasn't full they just didn't want to make the journey for 2 people. When caught the shuttle back and both times it was 10 mins late. Asked for some things that were missing from the kitchen, like a knife and frying pan. They arrived after my son was asleep and woke him up, 3 hours later. Breakfast was great and the staff at breakfast were excellent. We changed rooms, and Luis on reception was very helpful. Not sure what was going on with any kids activities, as didn't appear to really have any?
Generally good hotel, service could be improved at reception and house keeping.
An amazing hotel to go to it. The hotel surroundings are absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The staff is very professional and friendly.
We stayed at Sheraton resort four nights in early May 2018 in a two bedrooms suite room - The two bedrooms suite was really an apartment- The rooms were spotless and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms had a fantastic view. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food. Similar good it was the restaurant choices for lunch and dinner. We love Portuguese food! And the hotel did not disappoint us.
But the highlight, On my view, was my experience at the resort spa. The staff, in especially the supervise Thais Oliveira, that went out of her way to accommodate my, conservatives ways and inexperience on these settings types. Thais were friendly, helpful, understanding and compassion. She made me feel comfortable and relax for an excellent massage that I wouldn't have had otherwise. The spa is very clean, relaxing... It is a serenity! I most definitely recommend this resort in especially a stop at the spa, where the staff will make you feel like a Queen/King... Have a pleasant stay!
Very well appointed suite in a lovely setting. Good beds, and large rooms. No complaints there. Nice kitchenette, but there should have been some dish washing liquid etc. On the other had room service did the dishes! I asked for extra and had a very odd person in a dirty old sleeveless shirt turn up with them! Overall, lovely. And right next to the gold course. And Wonderful huge outdoor shallow pools. A very good stay indeed. Very helpful staff.
We stayed just 2 nights in late March, visiting from the United States. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and really went out of their way to help us even when it wasn't necessarily in their job description. Front desk staff (including concierge and bellmen) couldn't have been more helpful and gracious.
We stayed in a large 2 BR/2bath "suite" which was really an apartment. It was modern and very clean. The resort felt very peaceful, in a quiet area of Cascais. The negatives about the suite were that there were no mugs for coffee, no paper goods such as paper towels in the kitchen.
We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant just one morning. As other reviewers have stated, it gets quite busy and the restaurant isn't large enough to accommodate everyone. In warmer weather I assume they would open up the outdoor patio but when we were there everyone ate inside and there was a very long wait to be seated at prime time. It's not cheap: breakfast buffet was 60 euros for family of 4.
The hotel isn't within walking distance (that we could tell) to any shops but uber was very easy to use and rides to/from the village of Cascais were inexpensive.
The main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there isn't much to do on the property and there isn't any place to purchase food on site unless you eat at the restaurants. However, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.
