How to Get There
Atemporal is the definition of a boutique hotel. There are only 9 rooms. The whole place is very charming and has tae, coffee, fruit and biscuits out all day. The big plus for us was the mobile Hotspot that they gave you to use everyday you went around Lima. This is the first hotel we had stayed at that gave you a mobile Hotspot. I wish more did it.
The hotel is very charming with a nice sitting area to have breakfast, which is included, tea and drinks and a beautiful outdoor space also to sit and have breakfast, tea. The neighborhood, Miraflores, is where you want to stay and the hotel is within walking distance of many sights and restaurants. The also have a car and driver to take you to places(not pick you up) although we did not make use of it. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something different and a smaller hotel.
Just back from an amazing two weeks in Peru. Our trip was coordinated and organised by Nuevo Mundo travel agency in Dublin and their South American partners Condor Travel in Peru. We started in Lima, from there to Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno, Paracas and back home via Lima and Amsterdam.
The courtesy, professionalism , knowledge and attention to detail lavished on us by our drivers, guides and any other staff of Condor Travel was simply fantastic. We were picked up at ever airport, train station, bus station, hotel and anywhere else we needed to be collected.
We made minor changes to our planned itinerary on a number of occasions during our trip and these were supported and accommodated seamlessly by Condor Travel and their staff. We stayed in a number of hotels during our travels and all were of the highest standard. From the Atemporal in Miraflores Lima, a really homely boutique hotel with a lovely personal touch from all the staff to The Aranwa in Cusco and The Paracas Luxury Collection, all perfect for the location.
We had very friendly and knowledgeable guides everywhere we went from Lima to Machu Picchu , Cusco, Puno, Paracas and back to Lima again. Two guides stood out as being outstanding, the one we had in Machu Picchu, his name alludes me now unfortunately and our guide in Lima when we arrived and when we were leaving, Yulissa Garcia, she was everything a good guide should be , thank you Yulissa!.
Finally, a huge thank you to Michael Harrington of Nuevo Mundo travel in Dublin for putting our package together so well and making it al work perfectly. Michael planned a lot of travel and sightseeing in the first ten days which was fantastic after which we chilled out in the Paracas Luxury Collection Hotel which was exactly what it says on the tin, Luxury!!
After spending a few days in Lima, I can say that this neighborhood was the nicest we saw. It's vibrant, clean, safe, walkable. The house itself is beautifully decorated, with a very nice backyard -- perfect for enjoying your complimentary glass of wine each night. The wifi and A/C worked perfectly. Stylish bathroom, with a perfect shower (both in size and water pressure). Augustine picked us up at the airport and later drove us to lunch, and eventually back to the airport -- my compliments to him for never getting flustered with the awful Lima traffic. Mercedes gave us a nice welcome and helped us choose nearby dinner spots. Ricardo worked afternoons and evenings and lots of interesting things to share about Lima and other Peruvian towns we may visit in the future. Complimentary use of a portable wifi hotspot makes traveling around Lima much easier.
We stayed there 2 nights at arrival and then again 1 night before leaving Peru. A very true home away from home! We loved every bit, the house and the rooms with the beautiful decor and warm colors, the breakfast, the service - and we especially appreciated that gentleman who welcomed us, advised us and even drove us to our restaurant. Thank you!
This place is not what you usually expect. This is pure class. It is not branded in any way, you wouldn't even know you are there, if not for a valet waiting outside at all times to greet you and open the door. Inside, it is a lovely and very stylish, down to earth private Casa. 8 little boutique rooms perfectly designed with just a perfect touch of luxury. Attention to detail is what you appreciate in places like this the most. Perfect breakfast and amazing kitchen is Lima class (one of our favorite food destinations in the world). If you are looking for peace, you will find it here. An almost personal concierge hospitality whenever you need it. Chauffeur and a private little Mini Cooper to give you a lift. Red bicycles if you wanna ride the streets of Lima with some wind in your hair. Loved it and would definitely choose it again.
