Wonderful service in a stately European villa
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed for four nights at the Villa Spalletti and felt it was an outstanding hotel. We had a Superior King room, which was quite large and stocked with everything we needed. The public rooms were lovely as well. Breakfast was excellent and included a buffet as well as cooked to order items. The outdoor area is beautiful and the entire property is spotless. The hotel's location near Trevi Fountain and 15 mins by foot to the Colosseum is perfect. What stands out most is the attentive and discreet service. Each staff member was there to help as much or as little as needed. It is a bit different from some hotels in that no one is hovering around, but rather you ring for service in the dining room for instance and need to ask for help when needed. My 10 year old daughter felt perfectly comfortable despite the relative luxury of the hotel, so families are certainly welcome. It is rather quiet and we often didn't see other guests. It's not a bustling hotel, but rather a very intimate and unique experience. If I had any complaint, it would be that the room was a touch warm as the a/c was not yet turned on for the property. This is true of most hotels in Italy at this time of year. Opening the window largely resolved the issue. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Visiting daughter in Rome for Spring Break
Reviewed 1 month ago

We (mom, dad and son (17) and daughter (14)) stayed 3 glorious nights at VS visiting our daughter who is studying a semester in Rome. We had the garden suite which had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a family room. We also had a large covered outdoor area which was great. The boutique hotel is fantastic and the staff make you feel
right at home. Every morning we had a wonderful buffet breakfast with eggs or pancakes prepared individually. Every afternoon we had snacks and drinks in the wonderful parlor. The place is very elegant without being stuffy.

The gym and sauna where also fantastic. There is a roof deck with 2 jacuzzis which we also enjoyed. The last night we ordered in dinner for 5 of us in our room. That meal was also great. Can’t speak highly enough about VS.

Great stay in a great villa

We loved the villa a lot the staff is nice and breakfast good, our room was calm and big not the usual small room you get in Rome we loved it the only problem was departure - the Rome marathon took place so no taxi to get to the airport

Never fails to delight!

My wife and I have stayed at Villa Spalletti 3 times over the past ten years and it continues to delight us. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms (the best Italian linen of course), antiques throughout. This is a very private boutique hotel. The lower floor (with 4 meter high ceilings) and garden of this converted Villa is open to all guests to explore and relax in - do admire the tapestries in the lounge and the library. The guest rooms are in the two floors above. They overlook a magnificent park or the private gardens. I prefer the park view. Even though it is on the street side the area is very quiet and our rest has never been disturbed. Of course there are opening windows that allow refreshing breezes through the room. Of course there is a lift if you require it.

The breakfast is what you would expect from a hotel of this standard - delicious!(though for Western tastes - no Asian fare).

The perfect retreat in the heart of Rome
Reviewed 2 months ago

VST is like a Tuscan hideout in the middle of Rome. You have the convenience of being a walk away from the best sites in the city and then retreating to the relaxing, beautiful villa & gardens. The service was excellent and their attention to detail - selection of amaros in the mini-bar, italian linen sheets, turkish towels and sandals perfectly placed by the rooftop hot tubs - makes the stay memorable. Love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone!
