Comfortable Stay Close to Train Station and Attractions

Booked through Secret Escapes we got a great deal on our stay at Smooth. We were greeted with welcome drinks, free use of a Samsung smart phone and breakfast included.

Our room was clean, modern and bright. It was slightly on the small side but as we were only in Rome for 3 nights this was manageable. My only criticism of the room was the lack of storage for our large suitcase, meaning we had to walk over it to reach the bathroom.

Food at breakfast was a simple European buffet but with lots of options to keep us full for the morning. There wasn't much to eat for gluten free individuals but if you like fruit and yoghurt you'll be fine.

The staff on reception were friendly and superb at helping us navigate our way through the city. From restaurant recommendations to tips on taking the metro, they were able to answer all of our questions.

Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for a short city break but for longer stays you may want to book somewhere a little more luxurious, or just get a bigger room.

Rome stay

Picked this hotel based on the price and the reviews. Was not disappointed. The hotel was convenient for the train station from the airport. It was in a quiet location about 30 mins walk from all the sights. The hotel itself was just as all the reviews had said, great staff, smart well appointed rooms, buffet breakfast which I thought was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would stay here again.

The hotel is a short walk from Termini, which is handy, but its quite a long walk to the main tourist attractions. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-equipped and the breakfast was good.
