Lovely hotel with friendly staff!

The location of this hotel was great as it was only a 10/15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps.
The room was a good size and well equipped with coffee/ tea making facilities, hairdryer and bottles of complimentary water every day. I'd like to give a shout out to a chambermaid called Immacolata who made our stay even better with her helpfulness and friendly manner.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious with different choices.
The only reason i didn't give 5 star is because we had a few problems with our room card which was unfortunate as we had to keep going down to the reception for a replacement. Overall i would definitely stay here again!

Could be great.

The hotel Savoy in Rome has almost everything. Fantastic neighborhood, amazing staff, beautiful rooms with very good air conditioning. Then add a rooftop lounge and dining area it’s got a lot of good things going for it. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Let’s look at what needs improvement. Keep in mind I travel all the time internationally. Their breakfast is just barely ok. Don’t spend the money adding it to your booking it’s not a good value. For example the scrambled eggs are so runny and some of the meat and cheese offering is kind of sparse. Most hotels of this caliber have a much better breakfast experience even can make you an omelette but here it’s bare bones.

Secondly, the tv in the room was literally the size of your laptop hanging on the wall but three times as thick. Had to be at least ten to twelve years old. Took 3 or 4 minutes for it to even warm up and come on plus when you changed channels it took 3-4 seconds to get the next channels picture to render on the screen.

Lastly we enjoyed the rooftop lounge and restaurant but the food wasn’t great and was expensive. We walked across the street several nights to the Westin and had dinner for less than what we paid at the Savoy rooftop restaurant.

This could be a great hotel. It just needs to fix a few things.

Stayed here for 6 nights in July. Friendly staff, good selection at Breakfast, wasn't impressed at the Roof Top Terrace view, only drank there once. Good location, 10 min walk to Spanish Steps, hop on hop on bus stops a 2 min walk from hotel. 45 min walk to Vatican, 5 min walk to Hard Rock Cafe. Lovely restaurant on road literally opposite the hotel.
