Amazing City Break!
Reviewed 4 days ago

First time visiting Rome for my partners birthday.
Welcoming and attentive staff.
Rooms were spacious, clean and well decorated.
Roof top restaurant and terrace.... amazing food, delicious cocktails and a delightful suntrap!
Location, walking distance to all the site seeing attractions, colosseum, Roman forum, palatine Hill, Spanish steps, trevi fountain. We got a taxi to the Vatican, however walked back from there and was only and a 30 minute walk.
Overall experience was absolutely amazing and would recommend this hotel!

If your looking for a couple of nights in Rome you can be sure this ticks the boxes. Room is clean with a free mini bar. They even have a phone which you can use on your travelling and it helps getting around.
Breakfast is sensational too.
Special mention too Claudio on reception. Very professional guy upon checking inn who couldn’t be more helpful with anything we asked.
Also Taleb on night shift was great!!

Rome was the first stop on a 10 day/3 city tour (Rome/Venice/Paris) to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
Researched the hotels months in advance and chose Rome Glam based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Totally no regrets!
From initial email conversations with the hotel (especially Matteo) through to the service when we arrived (initially with Matteo again!) we found the staff to be superb.
The room was fantastic (#205) with a lovely walk in shower, separate toilet, decent storage space, mini bar with free drinks but best of all a complimentary Samsung phone to use whilst in Rome. Free calls, free data, Google Maps, tourist guides etc. Lovely touch. They even let us use it on our last day after we had checked out as long as returned by 2pm.
First night we used the roof terrace where there was live music and a lovely view of the city. Nice meal in the restaurant on the roof too which is where breakfast was also served each day. Decent range of food and great staff.
If ever go back to Rome will gladly stay at the same hotel and will recommend to anybody who asks!
Thank you Rome Glam!

Good, but expensive hotel with heat/noise problems.

Open suite - large, very large for Europe and nice. There were no outlets for charging USB, but lots of power outlets. Small table to work on. Bed was comfortable.

Bathroom was good. Shower good, but tiny little shelf, just big enough for their bottles of shampoo/conditioner combo and body wash, couldn't put large soap bar I bring along for showering. Shower itself is very narrow, which I hate, but floor very non-slip, which is very good. Thin towels, poor quality ( very surprising ) and no bath soap, just shower gel. Bathroom has neat subdued lights, including blue night light effect., sink very good, with quick hot water.

Breakfast was included and quality of what they did have was very good. scrambled egg, lots of baked goods, small pineapple chunks, good coffee and hot chocolate. They had no toaster. Nice and bright. Chairs comfortable.

The only major negative of room and it was a big one. It is too hot in room even in winter - temp set to 23.5C, ok at night, but too hot by morning, had to put a/c on and would only go to18 degerees C, which left room still too warm, by mid-day had to open windows which helped, but very, very loud if open windows( it is on main road with lots of traffic). This was a particular problem for us as my wife has MS and heat is very tough on her. She did not slip well during our stay.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location is fairly central and convenient to walk to many sites.

In many ways, we enjoyed our stay there. It was very expensive, at least for us, at $300 per night and a 7 day stay, but I wanted to make sure we had a nice place to start our trip. The heat and noise in the room would kill it as a possibilty for us for a subsequent visit. Outside of that, it’s a good, but pricey place to stay in Rome.

Great location, sketchy front desk

Pros: This is a very nice hotel located in a great location in the Monti close to everything. The rooftop restaurant is superb and very reasonably priced.

Cons: It was muggy in Rome and the air-conditioning was not working.

Cannot open the windows as the noise from the street is very high

No ironing boards available

When we asked for a taxi to the airport the front desk clerk insisted on calling us a cab that took 30 minutes even though there were dozens of taxis available across the street. The asnswer was that the cabs called by the airport were 30-35 Euros compared to the 48 Euro rate.

When the taxi arrived it was a piece of junk with a driver who was texting and calling the entire trip which cost 55 euros.

Not sure what the upside is for the hotel as we would never recommend or stay again.
