Beautiful hotel but very dirty
Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at Glam Hotel over the New Year period in a double room. I started having an allergic reaction on my skin and noticed on the 2nd night loads of dust flying around the bed. We had to sleep with our feet against the headboard to avoid the dust. The manager didn’t do enough to sort it. I would say avoid this hotel

Very GLAM hotel and perfectly situated!

Just got back from our stay at this hotel and we absolutely loved it.

It was about a 15/20 minute walk from the Termini Station (as we got the train from the airport) and once we arrive, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. After checking in we went up to our room and when the doors opened, we could see why the hotel was called GLAM because it really was glam and very chic.

Our room (406) was very much the same! High ceilings, chic decor, a big TV and lovely mood lighting which gave it that extra glam feel. There was also a main light as well if you needed more. Only thing with the TV is that the English channels were very limited so a nice film or a bit of TV watching before bed wasn’t really an option, however you could hook your phone up to the TV (didn’t work for us) but the hotel does provide you with free WiFi so you could watch something on your phone or tablet etc. The WiFi was very strong too!!

Plenty of space in the wardrobes, not many hangers, enough for what we needed but I’m sure if we needed more the hotel would have been happy to provide more. A very big safety deposit box was situated in the wardrobe, so you can store a lot of personal belongings in there if needed. There’s a mini bar in your room, we didn’t take anything from it as when we came back to the room we had bought drinks out! Shower was gorgeous, for me, I love my showers boiling hot and this shower definitely provided that - unlike some places where the best you can get it is lukewarm! Toilet very spacious! Without the light on there’s a nice jazzy blue ambient light that comes on (saves you from waking anyone up if going to the toilet at night!). With the sink they provide a few toiletries, e.g. shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which is good if you forget or run out. Hairdryer provided. And it had two big long mirrors in the room!! We had a corner room too, so we had a lovely view of the buildings surrounding us, photos attached.

We also took a trip up to the rooftop bar at dusk one evening for a cocktail, it was gorgeous!! Like the hotel, the decor was great. A lovely bar with a lot of seating, with those fire heaters by each seating area. The cocktails went down a treat also!

It was my partners birthday during our trip so I had arranged some Prosecco for the room. When we got in the room, it wasn’t there, however a few moments later we heard a knock at the door and it was personally delivered by one of the staff, lovely touch!! On his birthday, when we came back from exploring, we also found a little cake and a lovely note wishing him a happy birthday which was again, another lovely touch!!

We had breakfast included however we didn’t actually have breakfast at all when we were there. We weren’t really that hungry and just wanted to get out exploring!

The hotel is perfectly situated. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the Alter of the Fatherland - which you can actually see from the rooftop bar - and from there about a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum! The Trevi Fountain is about 10/15 min walk in a different direction, along with shops and restaurants nearby too!

Overall, the hotel was amazing. Couldn’t really say anything bad about it. They made my partners birthday just that extra bit special so I am very thankful for that. Next time we come to Rome, without a doubt we’ll be choosing Rome Glam again!!

Stayed for 3 night's in our Rome girls long weekend trip.
This was our second time in Rome, we covered most of the main tourist attractions on our first visit so this time we were more focused on culinary and shopping.
Pros:
We booked this place only because this was the best value for money option for a room with 2 double beds. We stayed in the suite and it was very spacious, 2 double beds, a sofa bed and lots of space in general.
Room view was very nice. We were facing Via Nazionale and the window was large enough to present us a picturesque view.
Air conditioning worked perfectly. (Heating).
The room was very clean when we got there and cleaned every day.
The design of the room was very sleek and welcoming, liked it a lot.
Large safe that can also store laptops and tablets.
They offer a local phone that can be used for local calls for free. Hotspot for an extra charge when you take it out. (WiFi in the hotel was free). This was a very nice touch and this was the first time I have encountered it in a European hotel. We did not use it as we had roaming packages, but still a very nice touch.
There were plenty of outlets for all our electronics.
Service was great from both reception and staff over breakfast.

Cons:
Did not like the bathroom very much. First of all the shower was extremely narrow so it was quite challenging taking a shower without body parts touching the walls. Water pressure was quite low. The toilet was hung very high so it was quite uncomfortable using it.
Towels quality was not the best, they felt a little bit tired.
Counter space was very limited.
No bathrobes and slippers. This was very disappointing as this hotel markets itself as a boutique hotel and to me robes and slippers are a basic part of it.
Lighting in the room was not the greatest. It was very challenging to put on makeup in the morning. Even though there are 2 good size mirrors, the lighting around them was not good.
Complimentary bottles of water were provided only once upon check-in. Again, I would expect to get it every day in a hotel like this.
Breakfast was letdown. It looked like someone had gone to the nearby supermarket early morning and bought some cheap eats to put in the buffet. Fruits and vegetables were tired and never looked fresh. Cold meats and cheeses were good, but nothing special, just supermarket level. Eggs and hash browns were cold. The scrambled eggs were horrible, looked like they were made for some kind of eggs substitute and not real eggs. Pastry selection was supermarket level as well and was sprinkled with tons of sugar powder to cover it up.
We did eat there everyday of our stay, mostly cold meats and cheeses but I would have expected a hotel from this kind to offer a more upscale breakfast on variety and a much higher quality of food.
The location was not the greatest for our needs. Even though there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and some shopping was nearby, most of our culinary destinations and shopping spots were quite far and without proper public transportation options we had to pay a lot of money for Uber. This is not really hotel's fault but this was not a great fit for us.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, don't know if we'll stay again, probably no unless the price will be very attractive.

Glamorous and Moody and Dinner was AMAZING!!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed here in at the end of January for 2 nights, The bed was super comfortable and huge! The decor was beautiful and very glamourous and moody a little too moody sometimes as trying to see to pack our bags was quite differcult especially with being winter and everything is black! That would be our only complaint.....the staff friendly breakfast was great and the location also perfect. A special mention to Fabrizio who was our waiter for dinner...we ate both our meals here as it was soooo good! Compliments to the chef for sure the food was Amazing!

Beautiful and elegant

I loved the hotel from inside the restaurant was lovely on the 5th floor with a view and the room was amazing, but I fell in love with the elegant decoration and the layout of the hotel, the art work and the design was just breathtaking.
