- Free WiFi works well
Art lovers have a lot to look forward to at this rather hip nine-room guesthouse, which is situated on the second floor of a 17th-century building in the Eternal City. And the location’s not bad either; smack bang in the heart of Rione Ponte – the historic district that’s home to an eclectic mix of trendy bars and cafés, upscale restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
Opened in 2014, this little place has created a big buzz; mostly for its intimate set up and contemporary-cool styling. All of the guest rooms assure sleek décor, comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs with satellite channels, and lovely en-suite bathrooms with NUXE toiletries. And then, of course, there’s the rotating collection of art pieces proudly displayed on the walls.
While there’s no restaurant, you can enjoy sweet Italian-style breakfasts in the hotel’s living room each morning – or order straight to your room if you don’t fancy getting out of bed. Also worthy of your attention is the reading room that’s kitted out with a PC and printer, and the on-site Spazio Arte gallery that showcases original works by emerging modern artists and students.
How to Get There
A lovely boutique-type small hotel very near piazza Navona in the heart of Rome. The reception is manned three wonderful ladies who were extremely helpful and made our short stay in Rome very pleasant. On our last night we were upgraded for free to a room in the 17th c tower - magnificent! My wife and I highly recommend the hotel.
Considering this is my first time to Rome, and my first time back to Europe after 20-ish years, I really appreciated how clean and cozy this hotel was. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions. The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel is also centrally located to the Pantheon, Trevi fountain, and the Spanish steps. I would definitely recommend others to stay here.
We stayed here in early July - our immaculately clean junior suite was roomy, tastefully and artistically appointed, management was kind and accommodating, and we were within walking distance of so many amazing sites! Would absolutely return whenever in Rome again, as the fair price and the aspects mentioned above make it an ideal boutique hotel.
