- Free WiFi works well
Art lovers have a lot to look forward to at this rather hip nine-room guesthouse, which is situated on the second floor of a 17th-century building in the Eternal City. And the location’s not bad either; smack bang in the heart of Rione Ponte – the historic district that’s home to an eclectic mix of trendy bars and cafés, upscale restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
Opened in 2014, this little place has created a big buzz; mostly for its intimate set up and contemporary-cool styling. All of the guest rooms assure sleek décor, comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs with satellite channels, and lovely en-suite bathrooms with NUXE toiletries. And then, of course, there’s the rotating collection of art pieces proudly displayed on the walls.
While there’s no restaurant, you can enjoy sweet Italian-style breakfasts in the hotel’s living room each morning – or order straight to your room if you don’t fancy getting out of bed. Also worthy of your attention is the reading room that’s kitted out with a PC and printer, and the on-site Spazio Arte gallery that showcases original works by emerging modern artists and students.
How to Get There
My husband, parents and 2 teenagers and I stayed here 4 nights. We had a minor hitch with our reservation and the staff bent over backwards to make it right. There are only 11 rooms- all simple, clean with original art. If you can splurge I would recommend the junior suite!
Also the staff have a great list of recommended restaurants, helped set up transportation, and even helped my dad with a plane reservation issue. Very helpful.
The breakfast is typical Italian- pastries, fruit and yogurt.
There is a taxi stand right across the street and Piazza Navona is literally around the corner.
I probably wouldn't recommend for people with preschoolers or toddlers due to the expensive art around, but my teens loved it. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed at RRP for 6 days and it was perfect, the friendly service from the front desk ladies to the breakfast lady was amazing. Laura the owner is always available and very accommodating. Super clean, very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast is just perfect. Is located in a very central area of the city, there is a taxi stand across the street. When we checked in they gave us a list of restaurants most or all of them walking distance, we only had time to try 5 of them but the 5 were great and not touristy. RRP thank you for a wonderful stay! Also thank you for finding me in Florence and sending me what we left!
We couldn't fault our stay here, from our arrival till our check out we were well looked after.
Firstly I have to mention that the staff here are incredible & extremely welcoming. I wish I could have remembered all their names but they really helped us having a great start to our trip & we can't wait to return again.
The rooms are lovely, modern & clean. we were lucky enough to arrange an early check in due to an early morning flight from Australia, immediately we were offered coffee (which I was in desperate need of) & sweets. we felt very much at home.
During our stay it was my sister's birthday & they so kindly left a bottle of champagne & a card in our room but unfortunately we didn't have a chance to drink it & were unable to bring with us to our next stop but the gesture was much appreciated & a lovely touch.
We used the car service twice during our stay & we can't recommend it enough, they were on time to the second.
The location is also a massive bonus, the river is so close & makes for a wonderful afternoon walk. you have a lot of places at your fingers tips & I kick myself for not visiting Piazza Navova in the early hours with no tourists as it's just across the road.
The hotel is located in the heart of Rome. We were able to walk to all of the attractions we came for. 20,000 fit bit steps per day... :)
Great restaurants, good shopping and entertainment all within meters of the hotel.
The people that work in the hotel are extremely helpful. They clearly like what the do, and cared about our time there. Even the maintenance man was extremely helpful.
We will definitely come back.
Loved the place it can highly recommended and recommend it to friends and going back in November again. A mile walking distance from all the things you really want to see. Taxis out front if you need to ride.
