How to Get There
My husband and I stayed here for one night in Rome before heading off to Egypt. (Not to worry, we had a week long stay in Rome afterwards.) It was definitely worth the upgrade to get a room overlooking the Colosseum, as the view couldn't be better. Sunrise and sunsets were beyond incredible. We dined at the hotel, and that too was amazing, though pricey. My husband was impressed with the views from the loo, too. Quite an impressive stay and first exposure to Rome.
I don't know how we're ever going to top this hotel! Its the best we've ever stayed in. The location is fab, just a couple of minutes walk away from the Colosseum. The management kindly upgraded us to the Ludos Magnus suite and what a shock - it was just beautiful! The staff were friendly, polite and so helpful. I had a problem buying an excursion ticket with my credit card, so one of the receptionists paid with her own card and I gave her cash - how kind of her. We had breakfast and dinner there. Both were superb, My husband had the beef and I had the seabass - the best ever. The views of the Colosseum from the restaurant makes dining such a special experience. We've been home now a couple of days and we're still gushing about it. It was my husbands 50th birthday and it was made extra special by this hotel, the service and staff - thanks so much.
I would highly recommend this hotel for its superb level of service and fantastic breakfasts, including great coffees. We recently stayed here with 3 children and 2 adults in the new Palm Suites. The accomodation was new, and bedding was very comfortable for 5. The suites were a short 2-3 minute walk from the main hotel. The staff both delivered our luggage and returned it back to the hotel. I will most definitely come back if we are even back in Rome. I usually do not review hotels, but I had to due to the above and beyond level of service received.
You know that the hotel is supremely good when it’s the best thing in your trip to the city, and even though Rome is a great city to visit choosing this hotel was the best thing we did on that trip, I write this review after two years of my visit to the hotel and still me and my wife reminisce about this hotel and how mesmerized we were with it. Though at the time of the stay they upgraded our room to a sweet for taking the romantic package when we made our reservation.
This property has amazing views, definitely stay in one of the suites if you have the chance. The suites in the main building or the new building have large square footage, breathtaking views, modern furniture, great service and amenities. If you book through a Virtuoso Travel Consultant you will also receive free breakfast daily and a $100 food and beverage credit, you will want to have a drink or dinner at the rooftop restaurant you can not miss that view. I would recommend tis hotel for honeymoons, couples getaways or just a single traveler wanting a five star located right next to the Coliseum.
