How to Get There
My decision to book this hotel was based on the flattering pictures of the rooms and the pool area. I paid 400 euro a night. On the night of my arrival,a Wednesday evening, I was shown to a room that overlooked the pool which had a 6 piece band playing at full volume. They would be finished by midnight. I protested and was able to find another room. The room smelled musty and stinky and you could still hear the band. But what are you going to do at 8pm? But the worse was yet to come. On Friday I came home around midnight. Apparently there is a dance club in the basement of the hotel. If you know about dance music, you know it's all about the bass and boy can that sound wave travel. You can't shut it out. I thought I was going die. Finally at 4am the music quieted and the partygoers filed out down the drive beneath my window, I was beyond exhausted. Management didn't seem to concerned about the problem. After that night, we found another hotel. If you're looking at this hotel, save yourself some trouble.
This is a beautiful hotel ideally located around the corner from Piazza del Popolo. The rooms are stunning: large, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The only small downsides are the light in the room (too dim) and a desk which is not made for working (low, uncomfortable chair, little space on it). Breakfast is included and delicious, served by very friendly and attentive staff. I would definitely come here again for a personal trip, maybe not for business.
We loved this. Close enough to the Vatican and shopping, and far away enough to take a €10 taxi ride to the other sights. The pool is small and intimate, the staff is very friendly and the restaurant is good. The only minus for the breakfast.
