not what i expected
Reviewed 6 hours ago

the service in the restaurant and pool is very slow, not well educated and not attentive. the rooms smell really bad, like in an old wine cellar and some don't even have a window, just the entrance door with some glass window. the design of the hotel is really nice. as the hotel is surrounded by streets, the pool area and the rooms are really noisy

So much potential . . . . . . but

Palazzo Dama is a stunning hotel, and with a pool and olive grove it’s a virtual oasis in central Rome. Checking In and Out was smooth with great professionalism from the front desk and Concierge.

However, F&B is a disaster, across a 5 night stay it’s fair to say not one order arrived as requested, some orders never arrived. I think it might come down to all orders being ‘radioed’ through to the kitchen. As an aside, house-keeping did a great job but twice entered our room unannounced.

Hotel management also set up camp around the pool most days; phone calls, lap-tops, cigarettes, not a good look for guests.

As per many other reviews, in Summer the restaurant pumps the music on Saturday nights. Moreover, other than Room Service and Breakfast, if you order F&B during your stay, the hotel asks guests for a credit card payment.

Our lasting impression was that this is a beautiful Hotel resting on that claim to fame. The hotel would be better served to focus on personal service.

Disappointed with the food and beverage

The service of staff at reception and in the hotel was very good however the food & beverage including breakfast is terrible.
It reflects badly on the hotel and our willingness to recommend for future.

Overrated, small room and very poor service!!!!

We took bed and breakfast included on the price for a very high price 600€, and the fried eggs on the breakfast and natural orange juice is extra you have to pay for it!!!!

The service in general is so poor: no bellboy to help us with the luggage, no towels in the pool, pool bar service very slow and disappeared, etc

Rome - June 18

We travelled to Rome prior to Joining a cruise and spent a few days at the Palazzo Dama. The hotel is excellent and I would recommend to anyone - very clean, very friendly staff who cannot do enough to help and nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast and lunch were fantastic but I would carefully look at the dinner menu before choosing to eat in the evening - very different
