How to Get There
This hotel is in a very quiet relaxing neighborhood of Rome. Location is wonderful...near Vatican and 15 minute walk to Pantheon!!! The hotel is going through a renovation and my room was very nice and comfortable. I would not hestitate to stay here again but if you want luxury and upscale NH is not for you!!!!
Cozy room, efficient service, kid-friendly breakfast buffet and a great location in the Prati district. From the hotel entrance, walk to your left towards the Tiber River, cross the Ponte Regina Margherita Bridge, you’ll be Piazza del Popolo. If you decide go to your right, you’ll be at the Vatican w/10-15 minutes’ leisurely walk.
The hotel is still being renovated, the outside mostly. Well located in the Vatican area.
Bedrooms are really well decorated, modern. Nice breakfast buffet.
I stayed there during 1 week for a sales meeting with my company.
The breakfast buffet at the NH Roma Centro offers many delicious selections, but the real reason you should stop by the dining room is to experience the exemplary service of Fortunato and Fabrizio. They are consummate service professionals: friendly and knowledgeable, they anticipate the guests' needs and ensure your visit is worthwhile.
I like to share my letter that I wrote to the Guest Relation desk.
Dear Ms. Battaglia,
I wanted to write to you to let you know that sometimes in life, someone goes so far beyond expectations that it literally changes a person’s life. You are that person. I am still incredibly overwhelmed by my recent visit to the NH Hotel Centro. I could not have imagined that my family and I would be met with such courtesy hospitality and kindness. Your attentiveness to me and my family provided us with one of our most memorable vacations of our lives, and we appreciate you more than I can possibly express.
As everyone else, I made my reservation from the NH Hotel website. I planned to spend 3 nights in Rome and 2 nights in Florence. I booked a basic room and got my confirmation. At the bottom of the reservation, there was a section where it asks if I need any special requests. I wrote that It will be my first visit to Rome with my wife, so I would like a nice room with a view if possible.
After traveling 22 hours from Los Angeles, California to Rome (we stopped in London and took my 90 year-old Aunt to lunch) we arrived at 11:30 p.m. We were beyond exhausted. I checked in and got the keys to the room. I turned on the lights and to my incredible surprise, I saw a huge suite with a beautiful view of St. Peter. My immediate reaction was that the front desk made a huge mistake and gave me the wrong keys. However, my wife pointed my attention to some beautiful writing on a huge mirror that covered one of the walls in the room. The mirror spelled out my and my wife’s names and expressed to us that we enjoy our lucky experience. I could not believe the happy shock I was experiencing. My mind was racing to come up with a name of anyone I knew who had the knowledge of my stay at this hotel – who wanted to surprise me and arranged all of this with the hotel. I woke up in the morning and I called two of my Italian friends who had knowledge of my visit and they both said they had no idea what I was talking about. They told me they could not take any credit for it. So I went to the Reception Desk to find out who had arranged for such an incredulous room and experience, and it was no other than Ms. Pina from the hotel. Ms. Pina saw my request from the website, and made our wishes come true. Not only did she go out of her way to make our stay at the NH Hotel Centro one of the best experiences of my life, but she also wrote to her colleague in Florence at the NH Hotel Porta Rossa to let them know of my arrival. Ms. Pina went above and beyond anything we could have even thought of asking for. She is simply amazing.
This is a wondrous city. It’s a phenomenal hotel in a great location. I could not more highly recommend this hotel.
All my best,
