AVOID AT ALL COSTS

TERRIBLE:
My experience with J.K Place Rome was absolutely terrible.
I was scheduled to go July 7th-July 12th, 2019.
6 days prior to leaving I fell very ill with a sinus infection. My doctor provided a document in which he stated I shouldn’t be traveling for 14 days. I submitted the document to the hotel immediately. I told them I would be rebooking by the end of the year, that it was just a change of dates. I didn't take out travel insurance as: 1) Quite frankly in all my years of travel nothing had ever happened to me so it didn’t occur to me get insurance. 2) I wasn't warned of the medieval cancelation policy of the hotel. The bottom line is they were going to charge me the full 4300 Euros even with 6 days notice for medical reasons with doctor’s certificate. And this they did. They took the 4300 Euros. As you can imagine I was shocked. After much to and fro while I was sick, the general manager agreed to extend a 30% credit towards a future stay. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago: I contacted the general manager to share my new October dates and asking him to honor the original price/package. Well, not only did he not answer me personally (but some random person from booking) but they increased the price 66 euros as to absorb the credit!
JK Place Rome is not a customer oriented/sophisticated establishment as it portrays itself to be but inflexible/out for the money at any and all costs. Again, as stated above, the cancelation policy is from another time to say the least.
With so many hotels in Rome don’t settle for the worse.

This is a wonderful hotel. Unfortunately I only got to stay here for one night on my way out of Rome, but I wish my stay had been longer. Our room was pristine, so comfortable and had an amazing bathroom (with a luxe shower!). The service was wonderful - such attentive staff, and they helped us to secure some restaurant reservations too. Beyond that, the hotel's location is super central - tons of shopping and attractions nearby. Hope to stay there again on my next trip to Rome!
