How to Get There
This is a good little hotel.
So handy to the Vatican city and a decent walk to all other Rome attractions.
It's in a residential neighbourhood so great setting.
There is no lobby to speak if but a good sitting area outside .
The room we had was just the rite size for 2.
Bathroom was compact and a very good shower.
The room was modern extremely clean and plenty if wardrobe space.
We were on the first floor and had a lovely little balcony which was a pleasant surprise.
The only negative was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but they did provide an initial bottle of water which could be refilled on the corridor.
Staff were very helpful and eager to help with questions ,ordering taxis etc.
Would stay here again and would recommend it.
Fantastic small hotel close to the Vatican city. The staff were fantastically friendly and extremely helpful. The room was really well furnished with great beds and amenities.
Just a short walk to the Vatican city in under 10 minutes.
Close to mainline train station as well for close connections to the airport.
A great little find in Rome.
Walking distance to Vatican. Rooms are modern but small. Staff is helpful and kind. There is a bar on the second floor and also an outdoor seating area on the roof. Located near many shops and restaurants. For walkers, the property is up a hill which may challenge elderly or physically challenged.
This hotel is basic , clean and is close to the Vatican. We chose this hotel as a base for visiting the sites of Rome. The hotel it self is close to a Vatican, less than a 10 minute walk. From the Vatican you can walk another 6-7 minutes to catch the hop on hop bus or start a walking tour of the main Rome sites
The hotel is based over 4 floors with basic but clean and comfortable rooms. There are no coffee making facilities but as a base it’s sufficient. It quiet as it’s up a side road but with in 5 minutes you can be on the main road with lots of restaurants. We recommend Goose. A 7 minute walk with a good menu and excellent house wine. Breakfast is a buffet that’s again basic. It has secure parking which can be handy if you need it. For Rome I felt it was good basic accommodation for a reasonable price.
We spent three nights at Il Cantico, a lovely boutique hotel on a quiet neighborhood street, within walking distance to the Vatican (10-15 minutes). The room and bathroom were very modern and clean. We had a large window overlooking the back garden, which we opened for some cool February air. The hallway in front of our room had a great picture window, showcasing the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. There was a small elevator as well as a staircase, a restaurant which we ate at when we arrived as it was late and raining in Rome that day. We enjoyed staying at Il Cantico.
